Hyatt Place New York/Chelsea

This Hyatt Place was very close to where I was seeing my family in NY. I was a little surprised at how small the room was but it is NY and it actually worked perfectly. There is a little fridge, comfy bed and cool view. My only issue was air did not go below 68°, it was hot and was walking a lot. Usually its fine but like an option for hot nights. Cleaning and front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Tried to add photos but not working.

The price for a 4* hotel in this location is very attractive. However, before booking, you have to be sure to be ok with the disagreements coming along: - Saturated breakfast room, some people eating breakfast standing up, as they can't find a seat! Not to mention the noise and doubtful cleanliness of the space with such crowd. - Extremely noisy A/C in the room. - Employees from the hotel are under high stress, so are not always as kind as we could expect for such hotel. - Worst of all: the elevators are constantly saturated, hence getting out of order frequently making things even worst. So, you have to use the stairs most of the time: we were floor 22, but the building goes up to 45 floors! You can imagine the trouble for heavy luggages, young children, elderlies or disabled persons. You can wait for the elevators 45 minutes sometimes to go down from a floor.... That said, the room was small but OK and the view was great.

This hotel has a good location. We had a family room with two double beds on the 39th floor with Empire State Building view. Room was not big, but it was clean, well equipped with coffee machine and fridge, and the view was fabulous. Breakfast was good compared to American standards, I would recommend to come early to avoid the crowds in the breakfast rooms and elevators.

Great location. Front desk staff are so personable and helpful. Rooms are small which was fine as we were out most of the time but if travelling with non- family, just be aware bathroom is tiny and not much privacy. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was decent for the money. Staff was friendly, helpful, and the hotel was clean. However, the rooms are small, so if you're traveling with just a spouse or with one to two very young kids it will be okay. Otherwise, the rooms will be cramped. Also, they only have 4 elevators which means wait for an elevator can be upwards of 10 minutes during rush times.

Are you kidding!!! Why are you asking me about my stay in Hyatt Chelsea??? This stay unfortunately never took place and you should know why. Now I take the time to share my story, since the space in that format will not last I sent you our whole experience seperately to Hyatt Management U.S. BR

Not a great location! Breakfast ok but if you get late no items left! And no bottle water left in the room daily! For the price of the hotel I could have least had bottle water! Had to buy them at service desk for me and grandson twice and sometimes three times a day! Lots of money !!! 8.50 a pop I would of stay somewhere else and got water and brought my own breakfast for that price’ thanks but no thanks!!Rooms though very nice and comfortable! So small not good for families

I always pick this hotel when I'm in the city for work. Its a great location, good distance from both airports. The rooms are VERY small so dont expect a suite for families. Always clean and then breakfast on the lobby or on the balcony are great!

we traveled as a family of four, room is a bit small but it is very decent size in Manhattan for the price. clean and nice view room. we love the breakfast buffet, many options of food and save us time to look for breakfast elsewhere. staffs are friendly and we enjoy the 5 nights stay here. highly recommend for family with kids
