My family and I stayed here, it was a little smaller than what we were used to but it was clean and the staff was amazing

I had a long 9 hour overnight flight with no sleep and asked to check in early and they told me they would have my room cleaned quickly but I still ended up waiting 4 hours. After 4 hours I saw the front desk checking a family in and asked if I could be checked in too. Very disappointed. I stayed a Hotel a street over last time I was here and for an additional fee was allowed early check in no problem

Myself and my family were in NYC for vacation. We enjoyed our stay at this property. The subway was a close walk and easily accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but that was expected. It was a perfect fit for my family of 4.

I traveled with family and I will recommend it to anyone that needs a clean and quiet place to stay. The stuffs are friendly and it makes the place feels like home.

Location is fine, but room we stayed on 2nd floor had multiple issues out of which only one was addressed- hot water not coming in shower, bathroom door lock broken which they didn’t fix after 2 reminders. Shower water spills out as drain not clear. 3 members in my family fell sick as AC didn’t emit cold air at all so we were stuffed in a room with not much ventilation. Even toilet roll holders were loose. One would expect these things working in a 3/4 star hotel as basic minimum requirements.Will never recommend Voco to anyone!! Feel like they should refund me for the stay..

The hotel is very nice and the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and had everything needed. The lobby area is so nice and has many tables that you can use whenever you want. That was very useful for breakfasts and dinners. It's a great plus. The location is very good in terms of transportation as you have Penn Station very close. But the area is not the best as there are many homeless and drug people around. Some nights it was a bit scary for the kids to walk round there.

To summarize my visit to the Voco….really nothing sensational about the property….simply standard hotel service and accommodations….The Bad Not an area to enjoy with your family and definitely not small younger children,36th street is a (zombie apocalypse)of potential drug addicted homelessness beware of needles with every step outside of the hotel.

While my overall stay was satisfactory there were quite a few problems with my room & service. Check-in experience was excellent & I was please to have an upgrade to a room w/a view but being on the 21st floor meant dealing w/very slow elevators during my stay & the room itself smelled as though someone had smoked in it but it was covered up with a very cheap chemical. The room was small but I expected that in midtown Manhattan. Pleased to have a very comfortable bed & new, stylish room design. Breakfast service was very understaffed & the 2 servers, while they seemed to be doing the best they could, could not keep up w/demands & also ignored me while serving a family who who showed up after me. They had eaten and left their table before I even got served. Similar situation the 2nd morning. The food was good but if the $15 breakfast sandwich had not been complimentary it would have been disappointing. Upon checkin I was told I could have a later checkout on my last day so I could get some work in downstairs in the cute lounge area. I became worried when I received a call on my cell phone from housekeeping saying that they could not clean my room & I was supposed to be out at 11am. Apparently my late checkout had not been communicated to them. Running out of space but my key no longer worked & by the time I got back in I rushed to pack, leaving important document behind which housekeeping threw in the trash. Everyone was nice but I would try somewhere else next time.
