The staff and service were excellent! The room was perfect for our needs (family of 4). The complimentary breakfast, happy hour, and communal area with a performer or watching sports, was also really fun!
My only minor complaint was that we had to wait up to 10 minutes for the elevator sometimes (mainly during morning rush).
But overall, would recommend to others and would definitely stay again!

This was my family’s first overnight stay in NYC and was very satisfied with the hotel. There was musicians in the lobby during the daytime and the room was very comfortable. We walked to Rockefeller Plaza and to Times Square both days we spent in the city. It was in a great area.

We found this hotel in the day of arrival and paid a decent rate considering the last minute reservation. The hotel is in an amazing location, we did not have any issues with noise or any disturbance at night time with little kids. Rooms are fairly small but it does the job if you booked it to sleep well after a long day out and about. The music downstairs was a little bit too much for my taste, I would have welcomed soothing music or a more relaxed type however this does not take away the good experience, this is totally personal preference. I would come back no questions asked!

So many people at breakfast. Good spread for breakfast though. Very challenging to find seating with a child.

Two thumbs up for family travel. Comfortable queen size beds, modern clean bathroom, nice front desk staff, fast elevator (when not peak hours), free breakfast, good value. Only issue was that the AC unit in our room was very noisy and should be fixed (I believe others have mentioned this issue). Because the beds were very comfortable, we were able to get a good night's sleep anyway.

We would have given a 5 star to this property based on location, cleanliness, breakfast spread etc. Room is not big but that is what one can expect in NYC. This is a good hotel overall.
Now, why did we give 3 stars instead? Customer service. We arrived in NY at 6 am in the morning. To avoid not having a room when we arrive with kids that early we booked one extra night and prepaid through Expedia. Mind, it is not cheap. We paid for the previous night so we can do an early check in. I even called the hotel the day before to inform them that we will arrive in the morning instead and I was confirmed that everything is good. I also used Marriott's online check-in option to check-in. So, we arrive at 6 in the morning with 2 kids, the person says since we didn't check-in "in person" the room was given away. The best is to hold the luggage and we can come back around noon to get our room. We told them that we paid the previous night - then the manager came and asked us if it was ok to get any other room. We were ok to get any room just to crash for a few hours and shower and then change to the room (2 queen beds) we booked. Then the manager gives us a room and says that it is a room with 2 queen beds and we don't have to change - that is 15-20 mins after we started this conversation. I asked them why they didn't give that room right away instead? The answer was that they wanted to give us a "better" room. Seriously? To give us this "better" room, you will make us not have a room

I stayed here for 6 days with my three teenage children and loved how the location was very central to everything. We were able to walk to Broadway, Central Park, Staten Island, Madison Square Gardens to name a few! The breakfast was a great way to start off the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Yes there are homeless shelters near by but there is also a huge police department. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the front desk and valet were helpful and friendly. The room was large and clean and the shower was spacious and practical. Breakfast options were a plus! Well-located for activities. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Our stay was from 6/29-7/2. Property was nice. Clean and modern. Location was a little to be desired but close to everything. Elevator situation could improve. Wait was kind of long going up and down. Breakfast was decent but no variety from day to day. AC in room did not reach target temperature. Placed hand over vent and air was cooler from fan but wasn’t AC cold. I don’t think compressor was running at full capacity because fan never stopped cycling the whole time we were there. Even though they sent up a maintenance guy to the room. He said it’s working it just takes time to cool…that never happened. Stark contrast to my family’s room adjoining ours. You can feel the chill when walking in there. Theirs was really working! We stayed in room 2215 so if you can avoid this room you’re good lol. Beware if you arrive a bit early you’re not allowed to check in until 4pm. They will hold your luggage for you though.
