The Belvedere Hotel

Nice hotel in convenient area but the help was a bit frustrating when it came to getting checked in! We did get there before check-in time but when we told them we had a show to get to at 3 it was apparent the front desk and the valet/bell hop were not working well together. In fact we left the hotel and drove around the city for 90 minutes and when we returned, we sat on the couch waiting across from checkin as they told us they would let us know when the room was ready. When I saw others check in I finally got up and said can we please check in now and they said oh yes your room is ready, but never called us! At this point we had to leave our things with the bellman and just made it to our show with five minutes to spare. I witnessed the staff loudly discussing the problems with checking someone in incorrectly, when they finally did check us in and take our car keys they mixed up our car with another family. Once we did get to our room later that night, it was a nice room with a king bed which is rare for NYC and the bed was very comfortable!

Affordable. Clean rooms. Staff helpful and friendly. My second time staying at the property. Would recommend to family and friends.

Perfect location for our family girls trip!

Older building with great character, very clean and safe. Convenient location easy walking distance to subways and attractions. My family enjoyed our stay!

I loved staying here... it's close to everywhere and we were walking every day, so that was very nice. I would have appreciated if you could let us check-in earlier even if that meant paying for it. I would suggest having something additional to granola bars... I think maybe a croissant could be better option for the guests and the price could be very similar. Another suggestion would be having alliances with restaurants or grocery stores, so after a long day visiting and walking the guests could have different options to eat. Especially for those who have kids, would be great. The hotel was very clean but we found a roach in the ceiling of our room, we know it's almost impossible to avoid since it's an old building, but nothing crazy, only one. The cleaning team did a great job every day.

The experience was horrible the staff was rude I had men outside my window banging first day from 10 to 4 then was displaced out of my reservation to a split room which I had to endure some women every word and channel in the tv loudly the staff was very rude I felt very discriminating acts of services I didn’t receive what I paid for Ms navy refused to give me The number to corporate, she stated the hotel number was corporate. I feel very dissatisfied. This was not fair to me or my child.

This has been a great stay. Upon check in, we were greeted with a great staff. They answered questions and engaged my kids in details of their day. The staff member Michael gave excellent recommendations for dinner and it was an easy check in. Only part odd was I received a message the day of that there is a security deposit due at check in and it takes some time to get back. It was only 75 dollars which isn’t much but wasn’t communicated before so be aware. Room was great with clean sheets and nice air conditioning. I was so surprised in the size of rom for New York as well! Refrigerator works great for left overs and there is even extra towels already in closet, which is beyond the normal in bathroom. I am so pleased with this selection and the staff.

We were travelling with kids and booked a standard room and it was very noisy due to the location of the hotel, i.e. at night, it was too loud on the street (cars, honking, police etc.) and you could constantly hear it on the 10th floor. Staff was friendly but the rooms a bit worn out. Value for money was not great.

We really enjoyed our stay. Super convenient area. I also appreciated that the room was spacious so even with a pack n play, we had space. The bathroom also still has a tub which is great for the kids. It’s a little dated, but that doesn’t affect the stay. I did feel like we could hear other guests in the hallways which isn’t a big deal for me but my daughter did ask what every little sound was - just something to keep in mind for young kids.

Great Hotel, close to everything, clean , perfect to stay for few days with family, big room with bathroom, closet and little kitchen.
