Sanctuary Hotel New York

We stayed as a family of four in one room for a long weekend in the city. Santuary provided an excellent location and a reprieve from the chaos of Times Square when needed. The rooms are quiet, dark, clean, and comfortable. The building is very secure. I highly recommend a stay at the Sanctuary and a drink on the rooftop bar.

Better than expected for the price in this area of NYC. We are downstate New Yorkers who prefer to stay overnight in NYC when enjoying an event. Most times the hotels are overpriced and underwhelming. Not the Sanctuary. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel, our room and the overall accommodation. We arrived after 6pm and hungry. The staff accommodated us with a quick seating at their rooftop sushi restaurant. It was crowded but the staff did everything they could to get us a table and make good suggestions for a quick and delicious (and I mean DELICIOUS) entree. After we sauntered over to their other roof top restaurant and enjoyed one of a kind cocktails by Alex. The atmosphere and vibe made our evening complete! We had a deluxe king room which was spacious for NY size hotel space- keep in mind the showers is “open” view so if you are with friends of kids, the privacy is limited. Our room was on the 6th floor and on a Thursday night, was pretty quiet, but faced the street. We heard the occasional horn and motorcycles as well as the sanitation trucks at 5 am. No matter - we had to head out at 5:30 am anyway. We made it back before the 10am breakfast cutoff - and although it was a typical continental- it was great. Fresh coffee served all night, too. I would definitely return and recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

Amazing Hotel! The staff is super friendly/approachable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. (I was originally booked at a another nearby hotel and had a bad experience my first day there; Expedia assisted me with relocating to Sanctuary Hotel). The rooms are spacious with a great view.
