Everything was great for a family. The room had good size for NYC, nice shower, and the facilities at reception and the bars were good. The two dislikes could be easily improved. (1) I had internet access included in my room, they didnt tell me, so looked like i had to pay $19.95 A DAY for it. Didnt like that. Just explain to the person its free. This still $40 a day charge, where you can spend it. It wasnt really explained well, I had to ask a few times to understand what it was. But just forced us to buy drinks at their bar, fine, I get it, its so we use the facilities. But i could have bought one drink and given a massive tip each day if I had known it covered tip. It was just confusing and looks like an extra tax. Maybe a better way to do this.

Had a great stay! The hotel feels a bit like a Vegas hotel and great location. The room was decent and mostly clean but had old food in the fridge and a dirty bath cloth in the shower. The rest of the room was clean so we didn’t make a fuss about it. Restaurants are great for the whole family and overall enjoyed our stay.

The staff was very nice and so was the room. We were on the 40th floor and could hear street noise all the time. You’re at Times Square so what do you expect. They charge a resort fee ($40) but give it back to you to spend at their restaurants or bars (not the gift shop). The food was good but not worth what they charge, so the credit is better spent at the bar in my opinion. Good news is there are very good dining options within walking distance. Los Tacos #1 is excellent as well as Joe’s Pizza. Expect a line at both. Toasties is an affordable option for breakfast or lunch. The 3 of us ate breakfast for $20, very limited seating. Carmine’s serves Italian family style, meaning everyone must decide on an appetizer, pasta and protein. The 3 of us chose the Caesar salad, and chicken Marsala and couldn’t finish half of it (all of it was excellent). If you good to Grand Central don’t miss the dining concourse, has options for everyone. Luke’s Lobster and carb rolls are excellent. Valeska serves the best fried Pierogies I’ve ever had (get the sautéed onions with it). As you can see this was more of a gastronomic holiday for me, but shows what a good location the hotel is in.

I am often not quick to write a review, but this hotel was excellent while traveling with my family. I can only imagine what it takes to run such a hotel seamlessly. Will definitely recommend it for any one who is traveling to NYC and wants to stay close to Time Square.

We loved this hotel. Everyone was so friendly. We stayed on the 23rd floor, which was very convenient with access to the gym. Loved the elevator system and the restaurant in the lobby. The hotel was located conveniently to a ton of things, too. This was a perfect hotel for our family’s first trip to NY.

The Marriott Marquis is conveniently located in the middle of everything in downtown Manhattan. Restaurants, shopping and entertainment are accessible by walking or train. The hotel in itself is nicely decorated with modern upgrades. The elevator system is very convenient. Our only issue is that there are no microwaves in the rooms or on site as far as we were told. This is very inconvenient especially when you're traveling with children who eat often and would benefit from being able to heat up leftvovers. The rooms are nice and amenities are plenty. However, our bed could have been a little softer in my opinion. Staff was assessible and pleasant. Would stay again and recommend with noted reservations.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything is close by, rooms are clean, big, and great views! Staff was really great and friendly. We ate breakfast there one time it was ok. Drinks at bar were 10/10. My only complaint would be there was not enough explanation on website about the daily $40 fee they deducted out of your deposit, per night that you stay. Also we booked all tours before pur trip, not knowing they actually offered 1 ticket per night that you stay free. Tiny details that might not be alot for some but since i am a detail/control person who needs to know every detail this was confusing for me. But overall i do recommend it.
