Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel

We had a family of four. We enjoyed our stay here. The bar was nice and had good drinks. Its pretty pricy but what's not at any of the hotels in Times Square. The beds were small but we managed. The ac worked well. When you walk out the hotel lobby your in the middle of time square. You have 7th ave, 8th ave, Broadway etc steps away. There is a substation right outside so its easy to get to Brooklyn, SOHO etc. Just be ready for the crowd!!

I booked 2 terrace rooms months in advance with multiple comments and requests to have adjoining rooms for me and my family. I was in communication with the hotel, they even had me contact them multiple times closer to the date to ensure this happened. When we arrived, they told us that we we’re never getting an adjoining room- possibly connecting… but it effected us as the five us us could have easily have adjoining terraces to spend this special time (one group traveled from Philly, the other group from MA)- there were several rooms in between us- the samples terrace was assigned for a room w 3. They tried to make up for it by giving us free breakfast for each morning, which was okay- but I would’ve have preferred my requests honored- I planned so much for this 50th birthday celebration and there was nothing I could have done differently in advance to make this happen. I even purchased both rooms on the same purchase. This was the unfortunate part of it- and it was because one room extended their stay for a few hours… I would’ve preferred to wait for the correctly assigned rooms with at least connecting patios of not adjoined.

We were traveling as a multigenerational family with one person having slight mobility issues. This location was absolutely perfect for our family. We were seeing shows and going to the Museum of Broadway and it was nice to be able to return to the hotel so easily. Rooms were actually very spacious for NYC. I wish they had queen beds as there is room for them and it would’ve made it more comfortable. The tub is big and deep if you need a bath after walking around. The shower was always warm and had great pressure. The restaurant was nice and you get the. $30 resort fee as a credit. So we got some apps and drinks overlooking Times Square. They have Aveda gel, lotion, shampoo and conditioner but in communal bottles. It is hard to get a cab in the area and that was the only location complaint. It is also very close to the subway. Avoid the hop and and off bus at all costs! It took two hours to get to China town and 15 minutes by subway to get back. We would stay here again.

I will absolutely stay here again. It’s in a perfect location for a sight seeing trip. Stayed with my 3 kids so I can definitely say it is also a family friendly hotel. Great stay!

Hotel staff were amazing! They helped my family navigate the city when we visited for the first time. Bell staff, navigators, wait staff in the hotel lounge. All outstanding!

I have stayed at the Renaissance multiple times and have never had an issue until this recent stay. I addressed the issue and the supervisor was compliant. I would definitely stay there again. This is my favorite Hotel in New York. I would recommend this Hotel to my family and friends.

Everything it was great weekend with the family

Perfect location! Super clean. Spacious rooms. I was disappointed w the kids screaming next door to us, we asked to move rooms, and they moved us without telling us it was an essential down grade. The room we had was a walk in shower the room we got was a tub that had water up to my ankles…. Good staff, cool little bar with views. I’d stay there again! Just bummed that it was a room swap that didn’t work out so well…

Wonderful hotel at the center of Times Square. In all directions there is something to do, and when you are ready for a good rest or an amazing dinner in the R-Lounge just come back to this amazing hotel with the nicest staff and comfortable areas to sit and enjoy the view. The lounge, breakfast buffet, rooms, cleaning, and location is what made my first trip to NYC the best that I could have ever imagined! My kids and I loved it. Thank you Renaissance!
