Sofitel Dubai Downtown

The suite I stayed in with my family was spacious, clean and quiet with an excellent view of downtown Dubai. The breakfast and the iftar dinner at the restaurant is delicious. This hotel is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The service is outstanding. The rooftop pool is one of the nicest ones we have ever seen at a hotel. We hope to come back for a vacation again soon.

I had an amazing stay at Sofitel with my family. The staff were very helpful. There was a range of breakfast choices. We had a beautiful view of Burj Khalifa. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Dubai Mall which is through the air conditioned metro link. I would highly recommend.

The hotel rooms are nice. However there are shady activities with this hotel that make it not so family friendly. There is a nightclub near the pool that blasts music until 4 am and you can hear it from the rooms all the way in the 23rd floor where I was staying

Needs a gift shop, a place to exchange money or make change in American dollars. An opportunity to have rooms on the same floor when checking with with family and friends. Staff was friendly and food was delicious in the restaurant on the 3rd floor.

Spacious suite with attached kitchen. Hotel breakfast was awesome, the varieties was good. Good facilities like sauna, gyms, swimming pool and child care & etc. Walking distance to Dumai Mall & Burf Khalifa building by using the Downtown Metro Station walk ways which was fully air-conditioned. Besides, there is a mini mart behind the hotel that you can buy your groceries.

It was a family trip. Overall experience was very good

The only thing we liked about the hotel was its location. But we didn't like a good number of things about it. There was hardly a bell-boy around to help. There was no doorman to help getting a taxi. In fact when I complaint it was like I am asking for something out of ordinary. Also, in my 15 years of going to Dubai, this was the first time that I had to pay for services (in-room dinning and spa) on the spot in cash or by card!! Another interesting thing was the in-room menu. Menu has a very limited items and when I asked about it, I was told that I can order from kids menu and they will bring a larger portion!!!!! and I tried and they exactly did that. Maybe it was because of COVID but the fridge was completely empty and we had to pay in advance so a fixed number of items be given as fridge menu. Room cleaning service had its ups and downs and depended on the person doing the cleaning on a specific day. On one occasion we got 5 conditioners in one day and in another occasion, empty bottles of body gel were left on bath tub for days. In summery ... never never never again!!
