Novotel Singapore on Stevens

I was disappointed in this property. Every hotel I go to soon as you arrive you receive help with your luggage and the bellboy takes it in the hotel for you. Soon as I arrived there was no staff to be seen, I was carrying my child who was asleep and had to leave all my luggage outside and go in the hotel reception looking for staff to help bring my bags in. When checking in I was told if I register with Accor I can get free upgrades which was a lie as I got the room I booked and there was no 'upgrade'. My room was not clean everyday, just towels were changed and not all the old towels were collected. The water from the bidaai in toilet was leaking out soomuch water as well. I booked half board and the main reason for this was because I have a child and this makes it easier. When I went to the hotel restaurant for dinner I was told half board is a la carte and not buffet. I was disappointed as there was no mention of this when booking and it should have been stated as children are picky and I thought it was buffet so I can choose from many options for my child. I chose an option on a la carte for my child which she did not end up eating, had it been buffet like I had initially thought it would be, I would have tried other things to feed her. I also had no new shower cap replaced. My experience in this hotel was lower than expected and would not recommend for future bookings.
