Excellent choice. Gave up my family apartment around the corner when I left the city 18 months ago. Knew this place existed but had not been inside and took a chance. Very happily surprised. Only negative: Lighting was a little too limited. It is an authentically old townhouse and it’s in NYC so it is not as clean as a hermetically sealed space although housekeeping does a great job. I look forward to staying again.

Alphonso and the staff were prompt, helpful and courteous. The room (junior suite/king bed) was charming and it being a suite was surprisingly a bonus - nice to have a "living room" High tea was expensive but a nice experience with fun teas and delectable treats. A charming B&B style hotel in the middle of Manhattan was a treat - we would stay again.
