Perfect for my family of 3 for the weekend! My husband and I were traveling with our teenaged son, and we stayed in the room with the queen bed and the twin in a separate alcove and it was perfect for us. Once you figure out where to put everything, it’s really all the space you need. Great water pressure in the shower too.

This is a European kind of hotel. Rooms are tiny but very functional. The flowing lobby/bar/breakfast areas are fun but an afternoon snack is not to be found. A good but pricy Restaurant is associated with the hotel as is a nice roof garden bar. This seems to be a couples/family/ younger folks place. It is not a business hotel.

We liked the bunkbed option for our kids. Excellent location to explore the city by foot and public transportation. Very helpful staff. Excellent coffee and breakfast options in the mornings.

Ok, the property is really convenient to the East Village with Webster Hall and a movie theater across the street, Amsterdam Billiards on the same block except the tables are $100/hr. Plenty of restaurants/snackeries nearby but within the hotel itself, not much kid friendly stuff going on. Sure there are the bunk beds and the magnets near the elevators in the lobby. But the restaurants in the hotel are all bars. It’s weird because the bars there are quite notable but the rooms themselves are soooo small. Reminds me of college dorms. All in all, it’s fine for the convenience but the hotel itself didn’t offer any discounts for guests other than free coffee. It’s giving upscale hostel.

Our 3rd stay here at Moxy East Village. We choose this location due to proximity to a family members apartment during our visit. First,it's very comfortable and we have no complaints about shower or beds etc. We love that it's close to the subways, multitude of restaurants. You don't feel unsafe walking late at night especially during winter when it gets dark early. Also their cafe where you can use your daily credit is delicious. Free black coffee for guests! As usual would stay again.

Great location. Helpful and nice staff. Rooms were just too small for us and there is no privacy for the bathroom and shower. If you are traveling alone or a single adult with a child the set-up would work well for you.

The location is more quiet than other areas of NYC and subway stations are not far. Good food options nearby. The quad room is great for families. The staff was nice and accommodating. The only cons are the elevator makes weird all night and the bathroom is not as private as we would have preferred. It was not so bad that it was a deal breaker but something to be aware of.
