Very pleasant stay, Jr suite was perfect for toddler and 2 adults, nice city view and quiet. Easy walk to family nearby and train only a few blocks away. Brunch in garden very colorful and tasty.

The staff at The Standard East Village are nothing short of exceptional. The manager Matt was super accomodating, and they even left a little surprise for my fiance who was celebrating becoming a doctor at NYU. I will absolutely be coming back and referring this place to my family and friends. Thanks for raising the bar (or standard I should say?) for hotels in NY - well done!

I like the theme of the property, loved the bed and the large, bright reading lights, the furnishings, decor, the restaurant, not pretentious or stuffy, love the groovey 70s themes and this is our go to place to visit our kid who is attending NYU. We will be back every year several times for the next 4 years! Staff is very nice also.

This is a perfect place if you plan to drop your kids if at NYU. It’s close to the school and third north dormitory, all within walking distance. To top it off close to the metro and very clean and polite staff.

Came with my two kids. Loved the location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were great. Room was very nice with great view and great decor. Would for sure come back

The Standard Hotel has always been a favorite place for my family to stay because it is across the street from family that we visit regularly in NYC. I was prepared for the daily rate and the small rooms. I was not prepared for maintenance walking in my locked room while I was sleeping and then laughing about it in the hallway with their crew. I was also not prepared for loud and inconsiderate noise from a painting/maintenance crew outside my door starting at 7:30 am. I brought my concerns to the front desk and they seemed open to my complaints but didn’t offer any compensation just a possible future discount if I stay there again.
