My family and I stayed at this hotel just before Christmas. Rooms were amazing. Quite spacious, especially for the City and a relatively decent value given City hotel prices. Service was fine although when I asked them to replace a broken towel hook in the bathroom, the hotel engineer never showed. Cute little coffee shop and bar in the lobby which is cozy in the morning but a little empty at night. In the summer when it's more comfortable to be outside the bar is probably a hot spot as there is a lot of nice outdoor space. I can see how the larger rooms would be good for dogs as this is a dog-friendly hotel. The decor is very old-world, with nice dark wood trim everywhere. Would definitely recommend!

The High Line was absolutely beautiful! This is an older gem in a quiet, safer neighborhood. Only two things kept this from being a complete rave. They aren’t kidding that you need to let the hot water run for at least 15 mins or you are showering in like warm/cold water. If you wait, the water does eventually heat up - just plan for the wait. The subway is a few blocks away, not a huge deal on the way out in the morning but we usually just Uber-ed back at the end of the day. Other than those two things, we loved our stay at the HL! Amazing coffee, very unique (Escape-room-esque) feel. It was like visiting NYC in its true glory days. The staff was excellent, helping with navigating the area, bringing ice to the room, helping with the hot water knowledge. The patios were so fun to drink our coffee and eat a croissant before setting off on our whirlwind days. The beds were comfortable and though I had to open the windows to cool off (I run pretty hot-blooded), the neighborhood was quiet and we were very comfortable. My daughter loved the desk so she could finish up some homework. Thank you HL for an magical trip!
