The location, convenience, cleanliness, and views were amazing! Things were a little unorganized at times due to renovations and construction. The only concern I had was the ease of access for anyone to lobby and the floors (this was likely due to renovations as well). We used the market but did not eat at the breakfast buffet ($49) or even see a hotel bar (but that was fine with us).
My family loved the convenience of being at 42nd street so we could take breaks and rest easily as needed.

When booking Paid extra for a time square ‘view’ there is absolutely no view of actual time square. Room 3913
Was put on 4th floor originally. Had to pay extra to go higher.
Was not given warning whole hotel was under renovations. Access and appearance was rough.
Came during a college tour and although not hotels fault. The kids were all extremely rude and pushy. Rushed elevators, sat on floors.

The hotel was under renovation. They put us in a room with one bed even though I had reserved two beds. They then charged me an additional $50 for a cot for one night. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no book detailing the amenities of the hotel, and no coffee maker in the room. I used the valet parking and was provided a number to call when I was ready to get the car. No one answered the phone to initiate the valet to get the car, so I had to show up in person to request it. I was told I would be waiting at least an hour before they could get the car or told I could walk the four blocks to the parking garage with kids and luggage in tow. Already irritated, I opted for the latter. I thought that a Hilton in one of the most noticeable areas in the world (Times Square) would at least meet minimum standards. I was wrong. ANY other hotel in the area would have likely been a drastic improvement. Teach your front desk people to accommodate your guests and not worsen a poor experience, and for God's sake, at the very least answer the phone!

I don’t know what happened but when I got to the Hotel yesterday 6/15/2024 they did not have a reservation under my name and they were sold out. Whose fault was it! I had my family and friends in New York City without a place to stay. I really would like someone from Expedia to call me.

My family and I stayed her for 9 days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel is located in Times Square, we were worried about noise and safety, but all seemed to be fine throughout our stay. We were on the 28th floor so could not hear any street noise.
The hotel is currently going through some construction, so the main entrance is closed off and a temporary lobby has been created upstairs. In my opinion, the construction going on inside the hotel did hinder our experience of the hotel a little. ‘The Market’, which is a store inside the hotel selling fruits, drinks, snacks, breakfast goods and other things was closed due to the construction work and a makeshift “shop” was put in the lobby area - a table with some snacks on. Although, this wasn’t a huge issue for us, we did feel as though our overall experience of the hotel was affected. There were days where some of the lifts were closed off, there was wet paint in many areas and a lot of dust due to ongoing work. When you’re paying a lot of money to stay at a good hotel, you just don’t expect to be staying in the middle of a construction zone where there is dirt and dust everywhere.
Another thing that became a slight negative for us was the amount of men there were loitering right outside the hotel entrance. Every time we came or left the hotel, we would have to walk past these groups of men who would be standing around smoking weed and staring at us, which made us feel very uncomfortable.

$7 for a small cheap bottle of water. Employees at the reception seemed like they didn’t want to be there.
Newborn baby on the upper level right above us was crying all night long .

Best Mid-Budget hotel in NYC, modern, well lite, huge room, two double beds for families. Brilliant location with both Penn Station and Times Sq station on each end of the block. Good location for food, Times Square Square nothing was more than 3 minutes walk. Target across the road gor supplies. This is now my go to hotel. I cannot recommend it enough. Also they give you $35 dollars credit a day to use at their coffee shop/food as part of your resort fee.

The hotel room was nice and comfortable. The staff were so kind, nice, and helpful. The doormen were especially delightful and helpful. The place was clean. Staff was wonderful, quick to help, and friendly.
However, i did have a few problems with HIlton. First of all, I had specifucally called ahead about parking. I was told there was valet, ample parking, and quoted a reasonable price. Unfortunatly, this was not true. Parking was under construction. This left us on the street in Times Square unprepared to figure it out on our own after a long drive. This also split us up: me with bags and child, dad on his own.
Secondly, the hotel is completely cashless. I was unprepared for that especially upon checkin when one of us was now searching for parking in the unknown. Although they had my card on file and i was paid in full, the policy insisted on physically swiping a card for incidentals to hold $200. The computer system would not let staff issue a key without it. This left my daughter and i sitting for over an hour waiting on dad. Upon suggestion i walked to Target to buy a Visa gift card, but the system would not accept this card. We could not even buy a snack or order food at the restaurant with that prepaid card or cash we had. I think hilton should inform guests on this beforehand. Our first few hours in new york were very stressful.
Also, the food at the bar was terrible and prices were significantly higher on the tab than quoted online on the menu.
