DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai - Jumeirah Beach

DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai - Jumeirah Beach was a wonderful stay. They had amazing front desk staff and their apartment was Hugh and spacious for our family of 5. Couple of nits, the unit is missing a kitchen, for the size of the unit, the fridge was a tiny (hotel room size) and other than water, a nesspresso machine and a kettle, there weren’t any thing else.

Overall experience was just ok , I was staying with family and staff is not accommodating, they go very strict by book.

Very nice hotel in JBR/The Walk with its own access to the beach. We had a one bedroom flat and it was very comfortable. Only inconvenience is we found out after booking that the pool, and the gym was in renovation. But that also explains the affordable rate we got As we were there a very hot weather, missing a pool area was a big let down. But from October, the hotel pool should be operational, with a kid area (which was also missing).

A very nice hotel, great rooms and a very friendly and service minded staff. Unfortunately the hotel was overbooked on arrival - which is unacceptable- but we were relocated and got our room the next day and compensated to our full satisfaction. Breakfast is great and food in general very good. Even in the pool bar! Pool area and beach is nice, clean and not over crowded. Staff very service minded. Unfortunately there is a Friday brunch with free alcohol where external guests get access to pool and beach area. This created a situation where security had to intervene a fight. Drunk people and night club attitude are not compatible with families and small children in the pool. There is a construction work close to the hotel but it didn't create any disturbances. All in all a great hotel

The hotel is located next to The Walk which was important for us. The buildings next to the hotel shade the pool and beach, so you can’t enjoy the pool during the cooler months. You can find a nice spot on the beach though, if you are willing to stay on the sand and move places during the day. The staff at breakfast are amazing - thank you! We had lovely breakfast every day. We had some issues with housekeeping. 5 people staying and we only had beds for 4 upon arrival after midnight with kids. This was fixed quickly with a free extra bed. We only had 3-4 towels some days even though we needed 5 towels… Small things, but they matter - we needed fresh towels for all of us after the pool and the beach in the afternoons! For some reason on our 2nd and 3rd day, our room was not cleaned, and the second of those was my mother’s birthday. The staff brought her cake during the breakfast and then again after a late cleaning with balloons. These extras are of course really nice, but more important for us are the little things like cleaning during the day (so that you do not have to ask or wait for it) with the right amount of towels, coffee pods etc. On our 1st day we were asked to go outside next to the roundabout to get a taxi ourselves by the lady at the customer relations desk. Apparently it was nearly impossible to get a taxi at 4-9pm. So we took the hotel’s or some other company’s car with driver at these hours. Getting back with a taxi was never a problem.
