I was actually issued the wrong room at first but the staff there made it right and even gave my family and me some free breakfast vouchers for the trouble. Our stay was clean and comfortable. What else can you askw for? Everyone was nice and we would definitely stay there again if/when we come back to NYC.

The staff was super helpful with getting thing for me and my family at any hour especially when traveling with my 6yr old they helped me with sheets towls and more...the bellmen were especially great when need taxi services they jumped right on when asked....definitely would come again and would recommend for any size family or even a couples get away because its walking distance to EVERYTHING

I’m not usually one to write much about hotel staff in my reviews, but I do want to recognize the team at Westgate for all their hard work and helpfulness! My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a really pleasant stay. Rooms were made up every day (which is actually rare these days), everything was clean, we felt safe, and they did a great job renovating a really old building to make it feel more modern and fun.

Westgate NY Grand Central is an exceptional location to stay with the family. The staff is great, rooms are very comfortable. Quite area, near amazing restaurants, bars, bakeries etc… Great experience overall !

Had four nights in NYC with my family. Hotel was close to Grand Central station for the subway, had friendly staff and things were clean. It does take time to get any extra towels/blankets you may need, so ask with plenty of time before you need them. Would stay there again!

The Westgate family is a brand I am familiar with so I knew what I was getting. The service was spectacular. Room was smaller than I thought but it is NYC so I didn't really have much expectation for the sizing or space. While there was a fridge, there was no microwave so reheating a beverage or food late at night wasn't an option. Wonderful bar service downstairs with Starbucks options. My only complaint was it being so hot in the room. The trip didn't start this way but it ended this way which is why we didn't notify anyone as it wasn't an ongoing issue. Hospitality was availability to clean daily but you can refuse if you don't need it.

Excellent conditions for a reasonable price - considering the location. We had a very large room as we were a family of 3 (the 'king' room), staff was amazing. Overall very pleasantly surprised, given prior bad experience in other Manhattan hotels. Would definitely return! Booking ahead of time will give you a fairly good price

The property is pre-war so small rooms. Also when cleaned, things were not moved around so they could wipe countertops, although the bedsheet changes were great. It's a very intimate little hotel and the downstairs is great, however the room was very small for a family of 4.
