Amazing Hotel. Facilities were great and the staff were so helpful and polite. I will be coming back to this hotel with the family again.

It is a great hotel for NYC, considering all the restrictions there: limited space, noise, crowds. Great location: 2 blocks from Central Park, 2 blocks from Natural History Museum, steps away from subway (Red line 1, 79th street). There is a grocery store across the street, it is relatively quiet area, Upper West Side, for NYC. The room (with two double beds) is normal size for outside NYC, and huge for NYC. The bathroom was normal size, comfortable. The one thing that really bothered me was the noisy air conditioner, which you have to use in the summer while you sleep, it was the noise level of a hair dryer constantly on while you sleep, the moment you stop it, it becomes unbearably hot as the hotel is rated D for efficiency, the building leaks heat and cold. But the staff was super friendly, the room was great, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was great for a 40-people family. So the ups way outweigh the downs (mostly the noisy air conditioner). There were abundance of towels and toiletry, especially if you ask for more for a bigger family.

The staff were awesome, the hotel was classic, but clean, and the room we had for our 2 parents and 2 kids was snug but enough space. And there was a subway station close, as well as multiple restaurants, as well as a convenience store right across the street.
I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot for our family of four. The 2 queen suite had a small sitting room outside the bedroom with two chairs and a mini fridge that was so useful. The bedroom was dark and quiet and everyone slept well. Love that the windows open for fresh air. Beds and pillows were comfy. Wonderful location walkable to the subway, central park, museum and restaurants.

Our family loved the obvious plus of the hotel - lovely quiet neighborhood - but what made the stay so especially nice was the warmth, professionalism, and helpfulness of all the staff, from the front desk to the bell captains. I would love to stay here on our next NYC trip.

We are from London and had a few nights in Manhattan with our young children. We enjoyed our family stay at The Lucerne Hotel! The staff were professional and attentive, our room was clean and comfortable and there were loads of local restaurants to enjoy, we didn’t have a bad meal! We liked the location, which gave us quick access to the Natural History Museum, the children’s museum and Central Park! We wanted to stay outside of the Times Square area as we are aware of the increase in crime, homelessness and drugs. We are happy to say we made the right decision as we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay! If you like to walk you can enjoy a 30-45 minute walk into Times Square from the hotel. We definitely recommend The Lucerne Hotel and would stay again in the future!

I liked the cleanliness of the room, the convenient location to New York transit. and the quietness. I also appreciated the prompt and excellent service. The only minor shortcoming is that there was no bottled water in the fridge which I kindly think should be included. Perhaps one bottle per person per room. My family member had to get dressed and go out to buy water from across the street so she could take her medication. Otherwise, a perfect stay
