Crowne Plaza Dubai Deira, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is horrendous and does not deserve a 5-star rating. Our room was on the first floor (110), and apparently, we're quite close to the hotel's club, as we could hear loud music from 10 pm to 3 am every single night. I complained to the manager, and he offered my family to move to another room. However, because my grandma had already settled in and due to a disability, it would have been highly inconvenient for her to change rooms. Moreover, housekeeping there does a poor job, except for Shwe — she was a sweetheart and deserves to work at a much better place. I had to talk to the housekeeping manager on the third day to ensure the cleanliness of the room. The cherry on top is that our safe malfunctioned quite frankly every day since we moved in. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are definitely better options available in the city. Do not stay here. P.S. WiFi here is crap, too.

The moment you step into the hotel you love the infrastructure, modern look and service at the reception. The pleasure and expectations of having booked a five star hotel for your family is lost when you step into the room. The room and more specifically the small toilet and bath tub is well below the standard of even a 4 star hotel. The room and amenities are old. Breakfast was more like in a food court. Long delays at egg station, failed coffee machines, soft butter not served in ice and above all difficulty of finding a free table due to very high occupancy. Pool and Gym are OK.

The staff at the hotel were all excellent. However the building, and our room, were dated and dark, although there appeared to be work going on to fix this. Being with my family I was disappointed to see cards of semi naked women scattered along the walkways near the hotel, as well as “male adult massage” businesses next to it.

The hotel was was clean in general the staff very friendly and helpful. I upgraded to the junior suite due to standard being quite small but once I got in the the couch look like a couple might have had to much fun in there and it was kind of gross so I upgraded to the executive suite and it was better except extra furniture stuck in odd places where you couldn’t open the drawers the room wifi never worked the entire time and in every room I was in the tv channels had horrible quality But overall it was ok just some not so great moments

Booked the crown plaza for a family trip to Dubai, room size was a little tight for 4. But had a pleasant stay. Buffer breakfast was good, parking was convenient. Good value for money
