Swissotel Al Ghurair

The hotel was centrally located in Deira which was great! There were numerous restaurants nearby and the prices were economical compared to the Jumeirah side. The hotel is attached to a mall which is extremely convenient. We went during Ramadan and were expecting a grand buffet for suhoor but unfortunately their options were limited. The staff is excellent - extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel! Great for families!

Stay was pleasant except for room next door with family fighting at odd hors and kids shouting at 2 am. waking us up.

Nice clean hotel good service and perfect location, very good for family

Decent and great value hotel, however having stayed at numerous hotels in and around Dubai, this didn't feel like 5 stars. Then again they don't charge five star rates either :) Best part about the hotel is probably the service from the team. Service was great and very efficient. The actual hotel facilities were good too. Only reason it doesn't get the full five stars would be the location and feel of the hotel. It felt like a five star hotel, everything was a little dated or at least felt like it (maybe that's the 'classic' vibe they're going for?). Whilst it is convenient in location as a solo female traveller, Deira and nearby can get uncomfortable to get out and about. Apart from that, if your looking for a base just to sleep at and travelling with a family with value in mind then this would be a definite excellent choice.
