Primero Hotel

Very nice and clean hotel at a prime location. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The room size was a bit small for a family of four but we spent most of our time outside so it was OK. Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazar are all at a walking distance. The towels were old but clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

First time in Istanbul. Was greeted warmly upon arrival by Vesey. ( I hope I spelled that correct). Unlike hotels in America where you check in and go on your way, the Primero makes you feel welcome as a guest. Vesey offered us seats, tea and of course Turkish delights. He sat with us explaining the city and the hotel and offering any assistance we would need. We talked about many other things. I made my first friend in Istanbul :) His welcome truly made us comfortable. The hospitality of the entire staff was exceptionally genuine. The room was clean and well maintained, and the area, although busy at times, was convenient to walk to all sights, and very safe. In the morning there is a nice breakfast. The night prior to our departing I mentioned to Vesey that we would be leaving at 5am. His first question was “would you like us to arrange you breakfast to take with you”? Outstanding. In all my travels I have never felt so looked after as if I were family. I told Vesey I like Plums, and sure enough when I was checking out at 5 am, the attendant had a bag of delicious plums for me. I was so surprised and happy. I ate what I could and put the raft in my bags. When I arrived back in the US and saw the plumbs I was again reminded of the hospitality and kindness of Vesey and all of the staff. Vesey if you read this, thank you brother. You are as I said, a good man. We appreciate you. When we visit Istanbul again we will definitely stay at the primero again.
