What a great find steps away from Grand Central and an easy walk to Bryant Park, MSG, Times Square and Broadway. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The rooms were large and immaculate. The staff serviced the rooms every day and all amenities were of high quality and plentiful. The rooftop bar is not to be missed with a stunning view of the Empire State Building and the city. We hosted a family gathering and all 6 rooms were flawless. It could not have been a better stay.

Not the most up to date hotel. I stood in the townhouse suite for a little upscale getaway. The AC was terrible the technology in the room was outdated. The suite was to sleep my family of 4 but it didn’t have enough beds so we had to pay $50 extra PER night. Also the refrigerator was stocked with nonsense I would have honesty rather an empty fridge for my family to stock our self. For the amount we paid per night the room itself was not worth it. But I must say the staff through out the hotel were top notch.

Really good sized room for New York, with 2 double beds, suitable for family. Good sized bathroom too and all very clean. Great location in mid-town - close to all the midtown activities but without being right in it!
Nice roof-top bar with some outside space but note, children not really allowed in it.
We didn't use any of the other facilities within the hotel as were out all day long seeing the sights so can't comment on food or general service.

Stately hotel. Customer service top notch and location perfect. Rooms were typical NYC small. Unfortunately, beds were very small and uncomfortable for a family. If you are traveling with more that 2 in your party, I might suggest an upgraded room. Sleeping was difficult. Sadly, rooftop bar was not open. Possible due to weather. No services on site to get bottled water or drinks. Expensive minibar in the room but limited options and no regular bottled water.

Very nice property close to family. The roof top bar is very nice but ridiculously expensive. Staff was very helpful courteous

Not as good as last year unfortunately !
Was here in January last year, requested again a high floor with Park Ave view for the 3 day weekend. Did not get that but a lower floor, 6th with side street view.
Room desk chair had a cracked handle and a big stain on seat. Floor staff were loud on first morning at 8 AM and on, moving, stocking, doors opening and closing plus some talking. Asked for ice upon arrival, valet/doorman said he would have it sent, never received. Internet charge of $10 a day, got to be kidding me, include it in your room charge, don't be petty. TV has few options, worst choices possible.
Room was comfortable, bed and bath very good with nice amenities.
Room cleaning well done.
Took items out of the refrigerator for our bottle of wine and water. At checkout all those items were on the bill, they did take them off.
Billing is strange, I prepaid but had 2 charges of $300 on my card at departure, took several days to come off.
My overall opinion is this new owner Prince group trying to make you not come back ! Needs a total improvement from this year compared to last year.

We stayed at the Kitano as a family of four with two adult kids in September. We had booked two rooms with two doubles in each and requested that they be close to each other. We were grateful they were on the same floor.
The hotel itself is very calm, quiet and peaceful. The outside of the building is lovely. The decor in the rooms was dated but they were a good size and everything worked. The beds were comfy and we liked the pillows. We were 609 and could see the empire state building from our window. The staff were a bit hit or miss, some nice some not so. The gentleman who checked us in was awful and made me want to turn right around and leave. He didn’t manage to even make eye contact, let alone smile or wish us an enjoyable stay. One of the nicer ladies told us we could get free WiFi by joining the free hotel group club thingy. This was great as paying for WiFi really should be s thing if the past! The rooftop bar is stunning (as is the cost of the £25 cocktails.) and the views are great.
Over all we probably wouldn’t rush to stay here again.

So clean and the most friendly service. One of the only places that had a sofa with 2 doubles, making it perfect size for a small family. All the employees go above and beyond and are so kind. Hope to stay again!!!
