The Dominick

I travel a lot, for business and personal, and have never experienced such a poorly run property. There a far too few elevators for a 40 story building, so the eleavators were always overcrowded and not all were working. The place is a fire trap, it need to be inspected, and the staff poorly trained and rude. It was our eldery mother's birthday and we paid $2800 for a suite that was supposed to sleep six for a family celebration. They were going to make up two sofa sleepers while we were out and by midnight this had not happened. When we called to complain the person at the desk hung up on us twice! Our Uber driver said they were so rude to him when he pulled up front that we should complain. It is a beautiful property that deserves a 1 star for incredibly poor management. When staff is this. rude they clearly don't like their jobs!

The Dominick holds a special place in my families heart. This is our go to stay-cation hotel and we keep coming back for a reason! The staff is ever so accommodating and friendly from the guys at the front door to reception and housekeeping. Keep it up and thank you for always being our home away from home! See you again soon!

I am not typically one to write reviews, however I will make an exception for The Dominick . We were in NYC for a family gathering. I made the reservation on the flight to NYC, never having been to this hotel. I have traveled extensively, but never have I been in a hotel where 100% of the staff were exceptionally kind, courteous, delightful. From the doorway of the hotel to the front desk staff to the wait staff and the room cleaners. Everyone was just incredible. The hotel is spotless, perhaps a tiny bit dated, BUT clean and neat. It was a JOY to stay there. Makes me feel there is still humanity in humans. Make no mistake about it, we will stay there again and again for the place, for the people who work there and for the fact that kindness still exists in this world , at the nexus of Soho and Tribeca in NYC! Amazing!

The staff was so kind and polite from the moment we arrived. Very accommodating and helpful as to what to do around the area. The room and view were beautiful. The kids and family had a great time overall. Would definitely return again :-)

First the positives...If you love Soho and most people do...Location is to die for. Really nice amenities especially pool and bar and super nice valet stuff and amazing amazing pool/bar staff The negatives This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel, mostly because it really has an unbeatable locations and my kids really like it...but it has hands down the rudest front desk staff I have ever seen in any hotel and I travel a lot. The idea that these people work in customer service somehow escapes them. Which makes no sense because valet and pool/bar staff is exceptional even beyond what is expected at a 5 star property. Not sure why the business is set up this way, and yet it is.

There was a cockroach when we entered the dark lobby at midnight. The staff was nice. The elevator was complicated. Eveything about the building, lobby, room, was old. There's a dirty looking bar sink in the room. The bathroom had no wall. So the room is not family friendly. We checked out the next day and moved to another hotel. Good thing the staff was nice.

Nice hotel with outdoor pool. Perfect for a family gateway.
