Beautiful hotel
Room minimalist perfection
Bathroom fantastic - beautiful, high water pressure and plenty of hot water
Bed - amazing, slept like a baby
Dead quiet, despite the fact I overlooked Madison Avenue

Stayed here for the weekend with my husband and son. The prices (everywhere in NYC) were jacked up since it is close to Christmas so we already felt like we were overpaying. We payed the fee to upgrade to a junior suite since there were 3 of us. However, the suite only had one bed (?) and when we asked about this the manager was not gracious or particularly helpful. They did give us a rollaway bed and waived the additional $75 fee (!) for this. The room was dark but very clean. The shower has one of those half walls so it was impossible not to flood the bathroom each time. Overall, it was fine but I would not stay there again.

The hotel was centrally located with a 20 minute walk to Times Square and easy access to subway and a close walk to Eataly. We came on a family vacation and it is not exactly suited for a family. The rooms are quite tight and we did not have room to lay out our 4 travel-on suitcases. The wifi went out for 24 hours due to rain and we had to ask for basics - towels, ice. It was overall an ok stay but not particularly memorable except for the doorman. He made sure we stayed dry with umbrellas that we could borrow during a very rainy week.
