Conrad New York Downtown

Probably our fault when planning, but we were hoping for a more elevated, sophisticated experience as husband and wife. I think our vibe was thrown off by the confusing design of natural wood tones (which we loved) coupled with futuristic george jetson-style furnishing and chaotic art design (odd). It was visually confusing and overwhelming It would be better if the design from the restaurant was continued throughout the rest of facility (natural woods, white, plants, beaded glass hanging). Speaking of food breakfast was amazing, but dinner and in room dining was limited... Also the rooftop bar doesn't serve food.... Mixed nuts and drinks. Otherwise the hotel is very clean and comfortable and service is top notch. I would certainly return with my family!

Excellent stay. Suite style rooms perfect for families.

Booked three rooms for family for my son’s wedding. We had a challenging check in for one of the rooms and subsequent issue. All businesses have issues but it’s how they deal with them that makes or breaks. Matthew, the manager I dealt with was excellent, even extending to a hand written note with apologies. The hotel staff were exemplary, the location excellent, food great and the rooms, perfect for a long weekend. Were it not for the initial issue - which as I’ve said was handled superbly by Matthew - this would have been a straight five star review. I’d stay again for sure.

The Conrad did not disappoint! Definitely planning to go back and stay again. Staff was extremely accommodating even giving me a small fridge (in addition to the mini bar) to store my toddler’s food items.

Great family friendly location. Water pressure for showers was best I’ve had in any hotel.

I've stayed here many times in the past, and it is rapidly declining in service. My family and I stayed over the Holidays and the service was awful, the management ineffective, and just overall not a great experience. I had two rooms. I went to my 2nd room on the 2nd day to grab it to get ready for a later dinner, I walked into the room and there was a cleaning lady using my bathroom and asked, frantically, why I was in my room. I told her I need the bag in the bathroom and she asked for a few min to "finish cleaning the bathroom," the ENTIRE room was cleaned hours before. I walked to the other room and grabbed my kids, we walked back into the room and the cleaning lady was frantically spraying leaner and wiping the bathroom down. Lomg story short-ish, someone removed my bag from the bathroom, thought no one was occupying the room (I checked in the day before), used my bathroom as her own personal one, complained to Management about it, took 2 days of my following up WITH THEM about it to get my bag back. When they returned it, everything was out of the bag like they rifled through it. Didn't apologize, no one called to follow up. Just absolutely ridiculous customer service. THIS IS A 2 STAR HOTEL AT 5 STAR PRICES. Stay somewhere else.

It appeared that several rather sharp pins were used to secure the carpet. I couldn't see it, but it stung even when I stepped on it wearing socks. Adults are fine, but in my baby, the soles of his feet bled because of these. Everything except this was a perfect hotel.

Spacious rooms and very service- oriented staff who are prepared to go the extra mile. It is like returning even after a long hiatus to family.

We stayed for 4 nights with a 4 year old in tow and the hotel had all the comforts and great for our family stay. The attention to detail with the staff was incredible and truly was worthy of the five star rating.
