Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, Abu Dhabi Corniche

2 nights. Room was noisy - AC only on "Auto" versus AC fans below open window. We had requested a quiet room in advance. No extra bed provided until 11.10pm for our kid. Breakfast buffet a disorganised noisy scrum! After first night, Front desk said, "sorry, no other rooms available, maybe after checkout", spoke to Duty Manager immediately and he found us a new, quieter room immediately (could control AC fan speed but windows locked, apparently "ahead of the rainstorm"!). Second time we stayed here but never again.

staff were very nice and kind especially with my baby. the breakfast buffet was also tasty and had a huge variety. the beach is a bit of a long walk on a hot day but otherwise all was well.

Overall a lovely hotel with great views across corniche beach! Only disadvantages is that the pool/ spa facilities are across the road and you have to access via an underpass which isn’t ideal in the 40C heat! They don’t have some basic facilities in pool / spa either such as robes / swim costume drying machines or floats for children/ adults that need them/ can’t swim well or still learning.

Terribly maintained Hotel, with water damage throughout and shocking levels of noise insulation. We had to move rooms after night one due to an over shower bath that would not drain and flooded the bathroom. We also had really loud noisy air con, and screaming children and walking noises from the laminate floored room above. Second room was bigger and brighter, but equally dilapidated in decor and still had poor air con, warped laminate flooring, signs of water damage throughout. Staff were fine to move us but no real attempt to remedy the first nights awful sleep. Lounge access is not worth any extra as canapés are just small snacks in the cafe which is accessed by anyone and checks are barely made. We ordered a drink here and got a large glass of wine, when the lounge access begun my friend ordered the same wine and the glass was half the size. So much for premium guests along with premium prices. Location is ok but the city is so spread out really anywhere is fine to stay. Needs major overhaul and upgrading of hotel facilities. Beach front and gym looked nice but barely used due to wanting to stay out and poor weather during our stay.

We are a family of 4 people and there was only one bed ; no towels at all. And I wasn’t granted VIP benefits.

We stayed in a very clean, modern executive room which allows access to the executive lounge. The lounge is really in need of a complete makeover and the management seriously needs to consider its policies regarding allowing children in there. There was simply nothing executive about it and we decided it should be renamed the 'family lounge'! Kids were often found in there chasing each other around whilst screaming loudly, they would play with the buffet food carelessly dropping any they didn't want. They played with the computer equipment #one unruly toddler clambered all over the seats with shoes on and was licking the computer mouse while her father sat using another pc and completely ignored her!!# Staff in the lounge were unhelpful and robotic. If we asked for anything they took ages if they even remembered at all. The breakfast choice was varied but the scrambled eggs and mushrooms were always cold. The only person worthy of a mention in the lounge for her exceptional customer care was Kinderlin. We'd been incorrectly charged for items from the mini-bar and she quickly and efficiently amended our bill. The Hiltonia beach club was lovely and we used it daily. The rules they lay down regarding pool use are sadly ignored and again children were regularly found playing boisterously and screaming loudly in the adult pool....there was simply no escaping these inconsiderate families!! So all in all, a lovely hotel but don't expect peace and quiet if there are any kids staying!

The hotel is a bit past its best and the rooms show their age. Standing in the bath to get a shower is really not good enough for a five star hotel these days particularly if you have mobility problems. The beach club reached by an underpass under the road is a significant attribute if a beach and water sports are important to you. The beach is also very child friendly and welcomed by those with children. The staff are very good and always acknowledge you with eye contact and a friendly greeting. This is some of the best customer service I have experienced in any hotel I have stayed at. The hotel has a 10% service charge with an additional 6% tourist tax which is not charged at other local restaurants so eating represent good value.
