Hotel Saba Sultan

This was a family holiday and I booked 2 rooms. The room on an upper floor was light, bright and spacious. The room on the ground floor was rather cramped, quite dark and poorly ventilated. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the hotel is in an interesting neighbourhood, very near Santa Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

A very pleasant, relaxed, family-run hotel. Our room was very clean and well furnished. We had a second floor room with a little balcony and a view of the sea which was great. The breakfast is good with a freshly cooked omelettes and plenty of cheese, tomatoes, coffee, orange juice, fruit and cakes etc... Location is good. The area is partly hotels and partly residential which gives a nice 'local feel'. The hotel is located in a small road set back from the main street which is lined with restaurants so evening meals are easy to find! And the Blue Mosque is literally up the road no more than ten minutes walk - get there early to beat the queues and see the sun shine in - it will blow your socks off. The hotel has a small roof terrace with an excellent view of the bay and behind you the mosque fills the sky line. Everything is within walking distance, quite hilly in parts but not too steep. Great value and unbeatable location. Staff is the most helpful from getting us airport transportations to booking shoe tickets. Breakfast was delicious and the staff are so friendly. Having the kitchen and dinning room is helpful for us with a little kid. We just get take out and have dinner in the dinning room, so we don’t delay our kid’s bedtime for going out for dinner.
