Booked a junior suite and was upgraded to master suite. Very nice room. Noise cancellation windows were a big plus as the hotel is on the zocalo and super noisy at night. The pool is a very tranquil. You feel like you are in a quiet garden not the busy hustle of downtown Oaxaca. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Most speak English The hotel is old and like most places in Mexico has trouble with water and sewage, but overall would highly recommend the hotel. It’s in the perfect location.

We had not the best experience in the Boutique de la parra. We wrote an Email in advance that we come with a baby and we wish for a quiet room but the opposite happend. They gave us a room close to the street and the super noisy breakfast area. One of our rooms (we had 4) did not even have a window. The rooms 101-104 are super noisy and basically super poor standard (windows don‘t close, dark, loud fridge…) and overpriced (104 no window). When we arrived in the evening there was a lady at the reception, who could not speak a single word english so we could not solve our problem. In general the rooms are not sound proofed at all so you hear everything. The central location is great, the staff basically friendly (the waiter at the poolbar is super nice), the poolarea super cute and it is clean. The breakfast tastes nice but we had to pay it, which should be included at a price of 300€ per night. All at all poor service in advance from administration side, super noisy and way too expensive!

Wow! This was the hardest place to ever leave! I shed tears while the staff at the hotel hugged my kids and I. It was the warmest, most loving increíble stay ever. They were absolutely welcoming, so helpful with all our requests, understanding. The food is amazing! The drinks at the bar top notch, the pool water is the warmest I have ever been in! They weee so accommodating as soon as you hopped in the pool they would bring you over a towel. The hotel itself is just absolutely gorgeous you feel like you are in paradise. The best part- the location! It's literally a 30 second walk to the zocalo ! Downtown everything you want to see! There is an amazing restaurant around the corner 15 second walk- called brio with kids area if you're looking to. Enjoy a meal without your kids :)! Amazing stands and vendors for anything you may want! We already can't wait to be back, the best best best hotel ever !

Highly recommend it!!!
Our 1st time in Oaxaca Mexico. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, clean, our kids enjoyed the pool. The staff and their customer service was excellent, they we so attentive and friendly, helpful. The food was delicious, we ate breakfast at the hotel almost every morning. The staff helped us book our excursions and taxis. Shopping and restaurants were a short walking distance. We will be back soon!

We loved our stay at Hotel de la Parra. The hotel is beautiful with lots of attention to detail. Everything was very clean, our kids loved the pool, the beds we super comfortable and we loved the staff. They were so helpful with organizing our rental car, recommending attractions, and so, so friendly! Our kids loved seeing them everyday.

We (family of four) had a wonderful one-week stay at de la parra. I originally booked the hotel for it’s proximity to the zocalo and the fact that it has a pool. The staff was very warm and helpful. Like many of the reviews have noted, the double rooms on the second floor, where we stayed are more light and airy, since the ground floor rooms open onto the cafe area. There weren’t many people staying in the hotel, so we felt able to relax a bit more with our rambunctious boys in the smallish pool area. The convenience of being right off the zocalo was great and the hotel was super quiet, despite all of the festivities happening at night. Breakfasts were simple, tasty and reasonably priced. Wifi came and went throughout the day but I have come to expect that when I travel. The room and pool area were very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
