One&Only Royal Mirage

Very good family hotel with good service and during the entertainment for the kids, the restaurants are all very good, water sport available inside the complexe, we stayed at the Palace, as they have different building, the pool is overlooking the beach

One&Only always provide a good level of service, and the hotel feels particularly isolated and tranquil compared to almost any other hotel in Dubai. I stayed in August and am a regular visitor on business to Dubai. Note that (as one of the duty managers freely admitted) the hotel attracts a very different guest profile in the summer months due to very cheap pricing (needed as in July and August it is far too hot for anyone sensibly to sunbathe all day). As a result, the area around the pool feels completely different from winter - very noisy, lots of children etc Definitely not the normal One&Only experience - not a necessarily a bad thing as it is all down to what you want from a hotel, but just worth noting that it feels like a completely different hotel from how it feels in high season, so adjust expectations accordingly.

Overall, nice hotel, but I would not go back. What I liked: Service & staff excellent Hotel clean, tidy and neat Room immaculate Beach front location Pool clean Food excellent - but see comment below on price What I didn't like Lots of young children (under 4's) at the pool which made the pool a very noisy place Loungers could be hard to come by. Made worse at the weekend by locals coming to use the pool Views from beach looked like a building site You can hear motorway noise on the beach which somewhat takes the edge off a nice relaxing holiday Cost when in the hotel. It's very pricey for drinks and food Unless you used a cab (which are very cheap) there is nothing you can walk to to get other food & drink Staff playing football outside our room in the evening
