The Charm Hotel - Old City

To sum it up in a few words as I don’t have enough characters to write a whole review, it is an unmaintained, shoddy, unpleasant hotel situated in an extremely busy, loud and dirty street and I was very disappointed and immediately regretted booking this hotel. I definitely would NOT book again or recommend to family/friends. There are far better hotels in many other areas.

Unfortunately l didn’t enjoy my stay here. The first night, the hot water was not working. They fixed it in the morning. But then, the air conditioner was not working. Internet connection was bad. I wasn’t even able to talk to my family using WhatsApp. Breakfast was ok but not great. I think the quality of certain food items need improvement. Overall the staff are nice and they try to help. But they couldn’t easily solve my problems. The area is not great. But it’s close to Sultanahmet and more affordable than the hotels in that area. The hotel is actually nice. The furniture is good, the bathrooms are good. The breakfast is decent. But some basic things need to be better. One last thing that disturbed me was that the corridors smell like cigarettes. When l asked about it, they said it was coming from outside but it was always smelling like that and l didn’t enjoy it. In brief, it is a good hotel that needs to improve its facilities and service quality.
