Amethyst Hotel

Don't be fooled! They advertise themselves as a luxury, but they are nothing of the sort. They advertise the hotel with images of large modern rooms but what you get is nothing like this. They position themselves as luxury but the hotel is incredibly run down and the staff treat guests terribly. They tried to give me a much worse room than what I booked. The disappointment continued when I was given a tiny room with faulty air conditioning that stank of cigarettes - even the swimming pool smelt of cigarettes! I was told the whole hotel was set to one temperature (around 28 degrees) and that this couldn't changed in individual rooms. The rooms were also dirty, the curtains don't cover the whole window, the curtains aren't blackout and the furniture across the hotel is dirty and scuffed. To make matters worse, when I complained about the air conditioning to the hotel manager, I was berated and made to feel like I was being unreasonable. I was also shocked to see the woman running the pool Facetiming her children on her phone.

I like everything, but the unique was the swimming pool my kids love it.

I like the fact that there is easy assets to transportation,and shopping . The staff were very helpful.Breakfast was excellent , also provision is made for lunch or dinner. The only problem is most of them don’t understand English the language barrier sometimes can make one a bit fostrated but on the whole it was great and I will recommend the hotel to most of my family and friends
