Niles Hotel Istanbul - Special Class

Very Turkish and family owned. I do not want to stay in a cookie cutter Marriot, Hyatt, etc when traveling abroad

My room came with option for breakfast which I recommend. This is a family run hotel with caring communicative staff who genuinely serve. I rated this hotel already but adding breakfast and day 3 night 4. I can’t compare but would stay here again.

Everything about our stay at Hotel Niles was wonderful. The room (junior suite) was lovely. The traditional decor was very tasteful and pleasing and the room was very good size. The hotel location is perfect for visiting the major attractions. The staff were all very personable and helpful (with most speaking English fluently) That's true from the initial check-in (when we were encouraged to sit and relax and served a traditional beverage after our hectic arrival at the hotel), throughout all of our many interactions over our 4 day stay, to help arranging an airport transfer as we left. The Turkish breakfast was great -- plenty of delicious things to try. We came to look forward to it every day. And the roof top lounge (where breakfast is served and evening drinks are available) was a very nice surprise for us. It is very pleasant and has great views of the waterfront. The only downside for us was that the restaurants in the area are all touristy, but that's a function of the hotel being so well situated in the old city. I highly recommend the Hotel Niles .

This is a family run business which we were looking for. This older hotel has a wonderful Turkish feel with a lovely roof top terrace with a view of the ocean and where you will eat breakfast every morning. The location is very close to the Grand Bazaar yet tucked away on a side street. Transportation is easily accessible to get to other parts of the city, many currency exchange locations competing to offer the best rate and many businesses will often take a variety of currencies. Bonus for us. The staff helped suggest and arrange tours of interest to us and we were very pleased with all arrangements. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was our first trip to Istanbul and would definitely revisit.

Staff treated like family. Excellent hospitality treated to water and tea all times. Friendly and jovial consideration. Staff is wonderful especially Mr Halil and Mohamed

Lovely family owned boutique hotel near all of the important sights in Old Istanbul. The rooms and common areas were tastefully appointed, the AC was great and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pretty rooftop terrace for breakfast that serves as a bar in the afternoon/evening. Highly recommend!

Great stay in great location! Clean, comfortable, safe, friendly staff. Breakfast was great as well. The room is a little tight if you have a lot of luggage (at least our room was), but not at all a deal breaker. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and look forward to staying here again!

So my trip was part of a family vacation and we chose to stay at this property after a last minute plan change. The hotel’s location is pretty good and the overall service is not bad at all. However, when I had made the booking apparently, I had put down only one adult and I was asked an additional charge for each person upon arrival which I didn't appreciate at all. Keep in mind that I am a platinum member of Hotels.com so i figured that they’d be a little more lenient in that regard. Anyway, not going back there ever. End of story

This is a lovely family-owned boutique hotel that was charming, friendly, clean and secure. The helpful staff, large bathroom, comfortable large room and view were all part of a wonderful experience. We definitely recommend it. Easy walk to the tram station, great restaurants, and sites. One issue was the litter in the streets seemed a bit much, but improved over time.

I LOVED staying in this hotel. I will certainly come back with my family. The staff (from the front desk to the waiter and housekeeping staff) were super nice, they all know your name and treat you with respect. I stayed with my family and every single member of my family had an amazing experience. I also worked remotely from here, and the wifi was GREAT. we booked the bigger suite with the Turkish bath for 3 people, it was very spacious and clean. The hotel is super close to everywhere ( Grand Bazaar, train, restaurants, etc.) and the area is safe and quiet as well. The hotel is super cute with nice decorations and has a beautiful rooftop to eat breakfast. I stayed in many different hotels in Istanbul but highly recommend this ONE!! Thank you Niles hotel for everything we had an amazing time.
