Great location for walking to sites (esp Grand Bazaar) or taking the train. Very nice reception staff who were eager to help. Good WiFi. The family room was more like a small apartment and plenty of room for our family. Recommend you take taxi to hotel as no onsite public parking (was about 5-10 min walk up hill.). Recommend you do not drive in Istanbul unless you are a native and used to very aggressive driving. It was crazy, but great hotel.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Fresh breakfast with a lot of options. Great location with just a short walk to tram and Grand Bazar. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area.
Stayed in the family suite on top, private and spacious with two bedrooms, hallway and bathroom.
Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel with lot of Anatolian charm :)

Cozy hotel, very clean, and located minutes from the Grand Bazaar!
Best part was the people who work there - very friendly and more than willing to help, especially Enes and the other man who worked at the front desk (didn't catch his name). It almost feels like a family-owned place.
It can be difficult to reach by taxi, depending on when you arrive, but I was able to make it. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Our stay at Elyka in mid-July was unfortunately disappointing due to serious issues with the air conditioning, which suddenly completely stopped working across the hotel during our stay. Despite the hot summer weather in Istanbul, the hotel management was obviously indifferent and did not offer any assistance. Instead, we were constantly being re-assured that AC would be operational "shortly".
The hotel staff were friendly, but they were unable to help with the situation despite their best efforts given their limited ability to operate without management's assistance or direction.
While Elyka had potential (e.g. nice clean rooms and friendly staff), the lack of a functioning AC and their management's lack of responsiveness made it impossible to stay and we ended up having to relocate (Hotels.com was very helpful with this and provided us great and fast service). Given the high temperatures during summer in Istanbul, reliable air conditioning is essential, and the risk of encountering such issues makes it difficult to recommend this hotel.
Anyone considering this hotel given their high score should beware as they are taking a risk: if AC works all is well and stay will be pleasant, but if it malfunctions a relocation is a must given the heat (especially if you travel with children or elderly).

The Staff at the hotel were amazing but what let them down was the cleanliness. The wasn't rubbish on the floor, it was the fact that the carpets hadn't had a good wash in a very long and my baby playing in the floor meant she ended up having dirty hands and feet. The second thing that let the hotel down was the walls, floor, ceiling and windows are very thin and you can hear everything in other rooms so we didn't sleep well. Finally the last thing which wasn't the hotels fault were the Eastern Europeans staying in the hotel slamming doors at all hours of the night which woke up my baby, shouting when they were talking until 12/1am in the morning.
