The Palace has been one of my favorite hotels in NY since I was a kid. Great location. Great staff. I believe the rooms could use a little updating. Specially the bathrooms and they should add a small refrigerator in the rooms.

I brought my family and grand children really expecting a first class visit.
I was told the room would be ready at 4:00PM and the beds were not bad and rooms were not sufficient for check in. We had to cancel are dinner reservations for the rooms were not ready till 9:00PM.
We had a bad smell of urine in the room also. I really was hoping for better than this.I contacted the manager numerous times and he stated he was working on this with housekeeping.
It is a beautiful hotel but I must say my experience was not good.

This was an OK experience. Rooms are very outdated, definitely don’t fell like 5 star hotel, more like 3 starts. Not pleasant to be in. But they were clean, and cleaning lady was very sweet.
Restaurant was extremely expensive, breakfast for 8 (4 adults, 3 kids and a baby) was on average $600-800. Dinner consists only of appetizers, they tasted very good, but prices were way too high. Most Waiters were nice enough, but some were borderline rude. For example, I asked them to bring covered paper cups and straws for children’s drinks, and she said: “absolutely no.” It was so rude that I thought, she was joking. But she meant it, because she didn’t bring the cups. They serve croissants cold and juice is not freshly squeezed. For this price tag, we would expect to at least have a warm croissant. Other than that, the food quality was good enough, but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant is very gloomy and tables are uncomfortable.
The first three floors of the building is a historic mansion, which was fascinating. Especially, we loved the old library, with very old books some from 17th century. Gym and spa area are nice.
We didn’t like the location because it’s in the middle of all action, which normally would be a good thing, but in NYC it’s overwhelming. There were a lot of homeless persons/mentally ill people entering the hotel, wondering around, sitting there on chairs for a long time and it’s not well controlled. We would pick a calmer area for our next stay.

Beautiful hotel, immaculate public areas. Bedroom was quite tired in parts, and the beds quite small considering they were meant for 2 people (our room was a family room to sleep 4, our children are 6 & 2)
Bathroom is also quite small for a family, but overall it was peaceful, clean & very comfortable in a perfect location.

Our Family suite is spacious for our family of 5. The Cleaning lady on 35th floor during our stay 20 - 25 March is very kind and diligent. Caroline in the reception is a very kind and helpful lady. We will come back to Lotte Hotel when we are in NYC

We stayed at the Palace side of the hotel. There is also The towers which might offer a different experience.
The holiday season is busy, but it was hard to get in and out of our room. On the way up there was always a queue for the elevator. On the way down we once waited 15 min to get an elevator at which point we gave up and went looking for stairs (don’t do that, you’ll get lost). The trick was to hit the up button, travel all the way to the top and then down.
The room was really old. We had to fix our wardrobe door to be able to open it. The shower was held up by rubber bands. In general a disappointing state. We stayed on the 10th floor. Maybe the rooms are nicer higher up.
On the positive side concierge was helpful with organixing a babysitter and the lobby is beautifully decked out for the season. Also the Cathedral view is spectacular and you can’t beat the location.

Arrived to huge queues then to say no room ready. Then had a huge queue to get room key. The room was dated and unclean. Was told the safe in our room didn’t work due to the hotel not having batteries. We were charged for WiFi which is like charging for electricity! The service was shocking and the queue just to get the lift up to your room or down to the reception could be 10 or more minutes. The room en suite was very small, the TV didn’t work. This hotel has a nice looking reception but it’s just a con. Do not stay here at any cost. I travel the world all year around with my family and this is by far to worst hotel we have ever stayed in globally.

We were greeted with a friendly greeting from the Dorman to the front desk. It’s awesome place for families. The rooms are spacious. Our rooms had an incredible views of the cathedral. The hotel was decorated for the holidays and was spectacular. Location is amazing with just a few minutes walk to Midtown.
