DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs

This hotel was perfect for our little family vacation. It was clean and the staff was great. The restaurant in the hotel had great food and drink options. The courtyard area and pool were awesome. Would recommend.

hotel was nice and looked like it was recently updated. The only drawback was that our room AC did not work very well. They had someone from engineering come and test the temp out of the vents and we also got a box fan...but not how we wanted to sleep for our one night. We had the temp set to 60 and never really cooled off. They did give me 3000 Hilton points which I later realized is not that much in regards to value. I guess we could have asked for a different room but with a family of 4 including girls - 21 and 16 who have a lot of stuff...we were hopeful the room would have cooled down as opposed to moving to another room.

Marcus at the front desk was the best part of the hotel. Very friendly and very welcoming. The room was nice. Was sad when I woke up the next morning to make a cup of coffee and the coffee machine had nothing but Tea Pods. So I had to go down to the lobby an pay for a Starbucks, I'm not a big fan of for paying for coffee when its offered at the hotel. When it was time for breakfast we decide to eat at the hotel. The sign on the host stand said wait to be seated. While we were waiting other families just walked up and started to serve them selves at the buffet. We finally got someones attention and the said, just find a seat. Assuming that the breakfast buffet was all they had we got up and served our selves and also had to find our own flatware. As we ate, we saw servers bringing food out from the back, apparently they offered a full service breakfast but was never given any menus. The Buffet was ok, but didn't have everything available, and again we thought it was a continental breakfast because as we sat we saw families come and go I would say 5 total, eat and leave and not pay. Then as we were about to leave we were handed a bill for breakfast and was a little upset to get a bill for $70. If knowing that your Buffet was going to $18 per person and $9 for a child we would have never would have sat down. We would have gone to I-Hop. So hate to say this trip was a little disappointing. We stayed the night just to get away from Denver and site-see and to get away :0(

I have stayed in this hotel for the last many years, several times a year. Not for biz but because my grandchildren live nearby and it is ALL about the pool. I didn't think I needed to ask about the pool condition when I booked the reservation. The pool was freezing cold, too cold to swim. The maintenance guy came by while we were there and said the heater is broken, it is an old system and if I get permission to turn it on, it will take 6 hours to heat up. The hot tub was barely warm. Many families came into the pool area while we were there all very disappointed. Unless, I get confirmation from you that the pool heater is in good working condition I will not stay there again. I spend $200 for that 1 night just on the room. We also had dinner there. Sheila Hill

This property has an AMAZING POOL ITS HEATED!!! Large in Size! My family really enjoyed. Also the rooms are good sized considering i booked us a standard room.

The pool was hot and the hot tub was chilly the first night we were there. Our kids were bummed and so were we. I did say something to the front desk and they were on it. By the next morning, the hot tub was hot and the pool was perfect.

We were on the first floor and I ahead heard all footsteps of the room above us. I could've asked to change rooms but it was 1am and my child was sleeping. I kept hearing the foot patterns throughout the night. The staff was outstanding.

Excellent facilities; well kept and very clean. Pool and gym were great for our stay as a family.

Super close to the zoo! Very nice hotel and great for the family!!!
