Very pleasant stay with the family at Shangri-La

This was a phenomanal hotel that is great for families. We booked a 2 bedroom hotel apt that was able to have all 6 of us in a very comfortable fashion. Amenities include beach facilities, water sports and commection to the main hotel and shops and restaurants in the area. Highly recommended for families.

We had an amazing week at the Shanghai-La. The apartment was of high standard, nicely decorated and fulfilled all our needs (fully equipped with washing machine, dish washer etc). The staff is extremely friendly and service minded, and very fond of children. They happily took us for rides in the golf cars just to make our 1.5 year old son happy. The beach is lovely and while the location is overlooking the Ritz on the other side of the water rather than the horizon it is great for all the activities in Abu Dabhi. Also, the beach and pool area is facing the sun set and the afternoons were magical. Next door to the hotel there is a souk with a supermarket, cafes and restaurants- very convenient for a family with small children. We couldn’t be more happy with our stay.

Outstanding hotel. This is the third time we have stayed in the Shangri-La residence - it is perfect for family holidays since the rooms are quiet and there is a private beach and swimming pool which are used infrequently so you feel like you have the place to yourselves. Rooms excellent and very well equipped - and we got a free upgrade to a larger appartment this time. International buffet in hotel is outstanding and both the adults and children love it (excellent selection of dishes and children under 6 eat free and under 12 half price). Hotel facilities are outstanding and staff are very attentive and friendly. The perfect family hotel which allows some luxury for the parents and a good time for the kids.

My rooms was right next to a nice pool and the beach, the rooms were very clean and specious, the hotel facilities are above five stars, including the electric carts and abra boat that transport you between the different parts of the hotel, the spa was amazing and relaxing, the beach and various pools were great. My family was really really happy during the few days we spent there.

THis was our second stay at The hotel and our experience surpassed the first time. Quite excellent service, especially for families with young children. A special Thanks to Juliane and her team who made it a great Eid break for us.
