Golden Horn Hotel - Special Class

The staff of the Golden Horn made me feel right at home. Breakfast is ample and traditional; Mr. Seckin takes care of everyone and is especially good with children. Try the "menemen"--a Turkish way to eat eggs. The desk manager Erdogan is also a treat--he organized my COVID test and a hamaam visit for me, and was always ready with information and a smile. The location can't be beaten--walk to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Suleiyman mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Galata Bridge, etc. It's right on the tram line too so convenient and impossible to get lost. Finally, the rooms are comfortable, with fridge and great water pressure! I found the bed very comfortable with heavy duvet covers and plenty of pillows.
