It’s unfortunate to book in a hotel and make you pay 100 € for a relaxing chair in the beach , also the food is pretty expensive if you want to grab a quick meal next to the pool I think that the place is really over rated and a bit expensive for what they offer … I should mention that the room description says that it sleeps 4 but once at the place they made us pay extra for each child saying that the room only fits 2 adults and one baby … we ended with the same room we booked but we payed an extra 400€ for two night …

We first visited this hotel 8 years ago as a family and returned as a couple. It has dated a bit (especially the bathroom design) but it has been well maintained and isn't tired. The staff are absolutely excellent and really make the place what it is. Management, housekeeping, concierge all can't do enough to make sure you have everything you need. The location is perfect, right on the best beach in the Algarve. You can walk along the beach to Vilamoura (50 mins). There is a small square just outside the grounds with a few restaurants including a great pizzeria. Albufeira and Vilamoura are a short uber ride away so everything you need is within reach. The hotel pools are also nice and breakfast is excellent. The only complaint we had was that there was a private corporate function while we were there which meant that the bar was closed off. That would have been okay for an evening but the event also went on to 1am which is an hour later than the bar is open to guests. Our upgraded ocean view room was directly above this so we felt like we were at the event. As with corporate events a 100 or so people then stumbled and shouted their way back to their rooms so there wasn't peace until 2.30am. I went and spoke to reception as we had arrived that day and were tired. They were excellent and offered us another room but it just seems that the owners need to rethink mixing corporate and leisure guests.

We stayed at Epic Sana for 5 nights with 2 children under the age of 5. The resort was very calm, clean and the rooms were generous. They have an indoor pool which came handy when the waves were large at the beach. The kids club was fantastic, well planned activities every day so we could relax a bit..on one day they had an external wildlife company brinf in reptiles for the kids to see which was the biggest highlight for my kids
The staff were super helpful and polite at all times and ensured we had the best stay. We've been to several resorts in Portugal and Spain with our children but this one is the only one we want to come back to. Thanks a lot for everything 🙏

Very beautiful, modern, and perfect for families or couples looking for a retreat by the beach. Also has multiple heated pools for babies, kids and adults only. Overall amazing resort, will be planning our return soon!

Overall Epic Sana Algarve is a very beautiful resort, with great amenities, and superbly polite, friendly, and welcoming staff. The food was very good (although repetitive). Staff service was excellent, very friendly, professional, and efficient, making stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
Resort has three full size pools and one for the little ones, a great direct, few minutes, path to the beach, a very welcoming bar ( with very good musicians playing every night). Their drinks were excellent in quality.
…...but ......….
Unfortunately my stay was marred by a very glaring problem with the dining buffet options included with the reservations which ultimately depended on building one was given, which in turn depended on number of people in room. My party ended up renting 5 rooms, with 4 being offered breakfast and dinner, but one (Suite for wife, 12 year old daughter and myself) being offered breakfast and lunch, but no dinner (not an honest offer - who will stuff themselves for breakfast and then again 2-3 hours later for lunch ?). Offered to replace lunch with dinner and pay difference in cost, but no luck. Ultimately took three different appeals to finally get someone to see the absurdity of their offer (little too late - had only one night left by then). At minimum Hotel should have presented all options at time of reservation to permit a better decision on cost per value. I would recommend a 3 night stay at most, arriving early on 1st day, and leaving late on last.

We stayed for 11 nights at this really relaxing hotel. Highly recommend. The staff are all really lovely.
We stayed in a family suite which had a lovely big balcony overlooking the pool. The pool by the suites was always quiet, I think because not heated like the other one but it wasn’t too cold in May / June.
The sofa bed was quite small but our 7 and 5 year old were ok in. I asked at reception as we left and she said if we came again could request an extra bed in the suites. The main bed was massive - much bigger than our super king at home.
No room would have a sea view as the beach is down the cliff via a board walk. Really long beach - we walked 50 minutes in one direction and had a coffee - could have gone all the way to Vilamoura I think.
The kids club was fantastic and we made use is the 10-12.30 morning sessions. Enjoying some of the many exercise classes like yoga and Pilates.
Didn’t get chance to us the spa.
We had breakfast and brunch included which was a delicious buffet lunch. I hadn’t realised was included. On an evening we generally went to Lima the Italian restaurant which was on the ground floor of the family suites. They did pizza and fish fingers etc for the children and lots of veggie options. We also enjoyed the wine recommendations. We only went to main buffet once. It was 40 euros, 20 for children / free under 5. My children are fussy so there wasn’t anything really for them as just one child option.
We loved our stay ♥️

Love the hotel, staff and the overall experience. Direct beach access is amazing. Plenty of pool options (kids, family, adults only). Amazing breakfast buffet. The staff makes goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best possible experience. Access to trails atop of the falesia with beautiful views.Highly recommend and wouldn't look elsewhere if staying in the Algarve area.
