Overall, great property! Very clean and excellent staff EXCEPT the manager whom during check-out made us very uncomfortable, as well as embrasssed us in front of everyone by acting as if we were trying to not pay a mere $270. Briefly, our credit cards were compromised toward the end of our stay in Mexico. As we had plenty of US cash and a few hundred pesos left; we thought all would be ok. Also. The hotel already had a $500 an approved Pre-authorization from my card company - that was in addition to the actual bill already having been prepaid. On check out we offered to pay the incidental charges in us cash, she would not accept it even after we explained what happened with our cards. She then told us “it’s to bad, and directed us to drive to a cash exchange to change the US for pesos. Drove there, it was closed. We then drove back to the hotel where the manager - mind you we came back to the hotel - not ran to the airport !!!!! said, and I quote, “well, you’re not leaving until we get the money”!!! And jesterd to a stern looking follow. OK then, my only words - how much in US, it was we had, to be set free. as note we were getting close to missing our flight . A bit over $ 350 US to be allowed to leave!!! Wow, the word was ceylaya Gto was the place to be carefare of being kidnapped!!!!! Heads up everyone!
