Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland, an IHG Hotel

The trans woman at the front desk was not friendly nor welcoming. From the beginning there was an attitude before I even gave her my credit card. Second there was no one to open the door and take my bags which is what I expected from since this is what the Hotel Kimpton Monaco in Seattle does and has treatment similar to royalty. My room was the higher end spa room and the room only had 1 robe so my partner didn’t have one and it from my experience at the front desk I was turned off by that already. The kimpton in Seattle not only had two robes but slippers and expected the same amenities. This kimpton left very much to be desired. There was a child above our room having a meltdown screaming and stoping around early in the morning which was triggering to me a disabled veteran with ptsd so that was not a great experience for me to have to endure while on my anniversary. While I get that family’s may come to the hotel I feel like if they have an unruly child they should at least have been not been right underneath someone from the looks of it the hotel was not busy Friday night. -Kris

The Vintage was a great stay for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The two story rooms are perfect for us and the staff is AMAZING. There is a game room on the property so we had some bonding time in between soccer matches. The room was clean and had nice amenities.
