The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

EVERYTHING about our stay was perfection. The front office staff, management, bell staff, rooms, restaurants all made for a fabulous stay with a very large family group. Extremely happy with stay!!!!

I went last weekend with my family. was amazing weekend. very happpy to select this hotel. Front desk staff amazing!! the room very clean and comfortable, love the view from my room! the restaurant staff very friendly!! definitely we will come back!! thanks everyone.

Unfortunately this just wasn’t the place for us. Room was dirty and dusty and the crowd wasn’t family friendly. Seems like an older hotel where lipstick was slapped on. The only thing I did like from the property is that the rooms DO NOT HAVE RUG! Staff and Valet were great but unfortunately the property doesn’t live up.

Issues from check in to check out. They offered early check in when i arrived, just stated that it wasn't on a very high floor. When i went down later to ask them about the AC I asked the guy if it's oceanfront and he said "oh it looks like you were upgraded to a partial ocean view" i had explained i paid for ocean view and they just said they would tell the manager. I had also asked them to fix the ac because it was set to 71 and we were unable to adjust it or even shut it off while my mom and the toddler were freezing. I had to go down a few hours later and ask again because nobody came to fix it. Finally a man came and told me they there is only the option of on and off, no changing the temperature. He shut it off and we were unable to turn it back on in the morning. It got so hot that the floor was wet from condensation. All they offered was to remove the reaort fee. That's not much more then the price change from an ocean view that i paid for to the partial ocean view we received. The tub didn't drain without you holding the drain up manually and there's a closet style door that creates a window to the bathroom. It doesn't even lock so if someone bumps into it, everyone gets to see you in the bathroom. I would never stay here again. No where near marriott standards. I forgot to mention the construction that started around 9 or 10 am

The hotel is in front of the beach. The have everything that you needed, chairs, towels and beach toys for your kiddos. The Mexican restaurant was amazing, the cafe and the bar pool were great too. Highly recommended!

3-day stay with a friend. Arrived on a Thursday and the pool and direct access to the beach is great ! By Saturday, the pool was overcrowded by kids so the beach was the best option. Not ideal if you are a couple's get away. All in all is was a very good hotel in a great location. The gym facility was top also. Service at the reception was top notch !

People were nice, food was good, but ac didnt work the last night we were there and our baby slept horribly.

Staff was great, super friendly and personable. Melva was out front desk angel and she was super kind to us and our family, went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. The spa day was amazing! Everyone was so helpful and attentive!. A couple of small hiccups with the valet service but all in all it was a wonderful stay. We will be back

Old, needs updating. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have open louvered doors in the bathroom is insane. Who wants to hear their family members using the toilet?

We had a great stay the week of Thanksgiving. There was an issue with 1 of our rooms having the smell of cigarette smoke come through the bathroom vents in the morning and night. I'm not a smoker so the smell was overwhelming to my kids and I.I went to the front desk and the lady (sorry forgot her name) was great and helped us get a different room unfortunately it was not on the same floor as our other room but I was ok with that since it was a room that did not have cigarette smoke coming through the vent. The Westin was walkable to shops and restaurants. Easy access to the beach.Parking is valet only and pricey but it's something you know beforehand so your not blindsided by it. All in all a great stay.
