Novotel Suites Mall of the Emirates

We had a great time as a family of 4 with 2 little kids. The staff was kind through and through. The breakfast was delicious and had a decent amount of choices. We most likely will stay here again in the future.

We liked having 3 beds for ourselves and 2 children. The breakfast was excellent and great value for money. The staff were very pleasant. We liked being able to walk to the Mall of the Emirates and the skytrain station there. Would not hesitate to recommend and stay here again.

We stayed as a family, having 2 family suites on the 2nd floor. The hotel was well situated for walking to The Mall of The Emirates and for visiting our son who lives close by. There were always plenty of taxis parked outside, especially the 'big' taxis which could take all 6 of us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with maid services every day. Comfy beds and more towels and toiletries than we could possibly use! We didn't use the mini-bar but it did have a good selection if you wanted it, the hospitality tray was well stocked too, although there was never any milk for the tea, only Coffee Mate. The only grumble was the second bathroom, the shower of which had a dreadful smell. We tried to keep the door closed but the cleaning staff tended to leave it open, resulting in a smelly room every evening when we returned! We only went to the rooftop pool once, you need to go early to get sunbeds, there are only a few. Didn't use any of the bars or the cafe so can't comment. There was a courtesy bus to one of the beaches, we believe, but didn't use that either.

The hotel is a very nice hotel that has professional, very helpful and great staff. Lovely breakfast with a nice variety to choose from and a great chef who made sure we got a "Full English" breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and kept in a good condition. It had a mini bar and safe. The staff were helpful with everything from phone calls to resolving any problems very quickly. We arrived at 6:00am and left a week later at 11:00pm which was no issue at all for the hotel. We would recommend that you discuss breakfast when you get to the hotel as it is cheaper and children are a lot less than adults. All together great value for the service. In addition you get a free shuttle bus to the beach and the Mall of the Emirates is 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel (need to cross a road). Taxis are available from the Mall or booked for you by the friendly hotel staff. It is not a five star hotel but absolutely perfect in terms of location for a great city and beach holiday in Dubai.

Although both the gym and pool are small they both are good. The pool has life guards so that kids can play freely. It is a rooftop pool and therefore can be enjoyed in peace during the day and early evening.The gym is well equipped for what it is. Due to environmental protection the room temperatures are set to a min of 24C. This is not very comfortable for those coming from a cold country. Although booking says 1400 check in. I was provided a room on arrival 1200. However the room was not cleaned properly. The carpet was not vacuumed, a large plastic wrapper was left on the floor. There was long hair left in the sink. Once I informed reception they were extremely apologetic wanted to offer me a new room and free travel to the airport. Breakfast is above average but not excellent. Quite a broad spectrum of food from pancakes to freshly made omelette so it will suffice.

We are a family of 4 who regularly travel through Dubai, often breaking the trip for a few days. The Novotel Suites has a series of good options for families with the larger rooms, good breakfast set-up and teh very close proximity to the Mall, Metro and several nearby easy dining options for families. On our last visit to the Novotel, we arrived in the early hours to unfortunately find due to a system error our family room was not available. The front desk staff were very apologetic and did their best to help however the only option was two adjacent (but no common door) rooms. The situation was resolved the next morning but again it didn't quite match what we had paid for which was a queen bed and 2 singles. Instead we had a fold-out bed which had seen better days. This is disappointing given the market which the hotel is pitching for.
