Balloon Cave Hotel

We loved this family-run hotel and felt so welcomed and at home. Nothing was too much trouble, from organising tours and an airport transfer, to organising a cork screw for our wine, everything was done with a smile and good cheer. The location was perfect and the hotel was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We would recommend Balloon Cave Hotel and hope to visit again!

I decided to book this hotel based on reviews I read. I also like to support family owned business. Staff is friendly. The room was clean. I made a request to the hotel to make arrangements for shuttle transportation to and from the airport for 10 euros per trip and per person. A simple breakfast was included in our package. You can see hot air balloons from the rooftop of the hotel. The hotel sold us the green and red tours for 55 euros per tour per person, and it includes lunch and transportation. However, you should check prices at shops downtown before booking with the hotel. The tour guide takes you to tourist attractions and local shops. The green tour included Kem Art Center and it is a tourist trap. The jewelry is overpriced. You can find the same jewelry at another shop in the town at a much cheaper price. I was charged 50 euros for a silver pendant necklace that cost 18 euros at a jewelry shop in the town. Don't purchase anything at places that tour guide takes you. I'm assuming the tour guide and hotel earn a commission, so prices are more expensive. You can find the same products at local stores at much cheaper prices in Gerome. I didn't appreciate the hotel participating in the sale of tours to shops that have overpriced products. A hotel should take care of it's customers and not send them to get ripped off by shops included in tours. The shops in Gerome have the same things for sale at much cheaper prices. Room was located next to road so it was noisy.
