Artefes Hotel Old City

Stayed here for 2 nights with family & extended family (cousins). The hotel is old, our room had a faint smoke even though they ensured us it was a non smoking room. Bearable. The shower's are very impractical as there is a shower head but its not connected to the water supply and the place to put soaps was broken in our room however the one in my cousins was not. This was the case for both rooms we booked. The location of this hotel is not great considering its in an alley way on a hill, difficult to commute to after a full day of sightseeing and shopping. By far the worst hotel management, its own by two cousins if I recall correctly. Salman, presumably the manager ensured us we can keep our luggage at the hotel for a few days and they have a luggage storage area. However on our day of checking out, the owner was at the reception and denied everything. As they dont have a luggage storage area and dont keep guests luggage. These mixed messages by the hotel management put out trip in turmoil as we needed to a place to keep our luggage somewhere safe for a few days while we toured other parts of Turkey. Anyways, the breakfast was subpar, mostly just a combination of several different appetizers not a turkish breakfast. At this price point there are why better 3 star hotels in this area. TLDR; Old hotel, inconvenient location, meh breakfast, terrible management and service.
