Le Meridien Istanbul Etiler

it was a one night stay part of a long business trip in Europe .. great hotel but I would say its a business hotel more than a family one

I have been visiting Istanbul regularly for the past 12 years and this was by far my worst stay when it comes to Hotel choice. I have tried 4 star and 5 star hotels before in this city and they were all up to the standards expected. Le meridien Etiler was a huge disappointment. My room wasn’t being cleaned daily even though I put the make up the room sign. I guess the Hotel personnel isn’t properly familiar with which light was do not disturb in opposed to make up the room. I have called guest services and requested my room to be clean, when i was back still not clean! And when they actually cleaned, the room was never really clean. They probably spend 5 minutes collecting the big garbage only. My coffee and coffee mugs were not replaced, i had to ask for them. And the toiletries (cotton, ear buds..) were never placed in the room! I asked for it many times and only got it once..! The bathrobe taken after my first use and not replaced. My safety box stopped working and the whole team was in my room at 10 pm trying to break it which took them 45 mins, they couldn’t but they finally replaced it. The kettle was broken and leaking water into electricity. Shower was broken. I am tired of naming my disappointments honestly. And my extra money which was taken as deposit (I had used a bit of it) was never refunded either. I was there with my family of 6 (3 rooms at different levels) none of us were satisfied. The traffic around the hotel is so bad no taxi accepts going there!
