Excellent hotel for a short family vacation in Oaxaca

I felt like I was in a house, not a hotel. It is a very cozy family place

Really enjoyed our stay here and were pleasantly surprised at the purpose this hotel strives for. It was close to the historic center but quieter than other places. We were here for the Guelaguetza and the main auditorium was clearly visible from the upper floors. I liked the eco friendly values and the staff were wonderful! I really enjoyed the patios and the trees provide a lot of shade. They offered a cooking class and their breakfast was delicious. The room were cleaned every morning and water was refilled every day in our room to avoid visitors having to spend on plastic water bottles. The beds were comfortable enough and we spend most of our time away exploring the city. Didn't know their social impact goal but was happy to hear they provide scholarships for local children to attend school beyond elementary. They have all sorts of your information available and a small market s block away. I will definitely look to return with a group of friends soon!

If you care about space—Hotel con Corazón is a lovely mix of modern design and comfort with touches of Oaxacan culture throughout. Lots of windows and light, multi-leveled terraces, an unbelievably comfy bed, beautiful skylights in the bathroom and colorful tiled ceilings, local delights served for breakfast, artisanal crafts peppered throughout the space. It was very convenient to the city center, but also nestled smartly away from the hustle of traffic. Our room was quiet and peaceful, the common spaces a nice oasis for a drink or to relax when we returned from wandering about the city. The breakfast was delicious! Not your typical, all-included fare—but a bountiful three courses: artisanal bread and housemade jams, coffee and juices, fruit and granola, and then a daily new main dish each morning. So good! They easily accommodated our dietary needs, being vegetarians. Probably our favorite bit of staying with Hotel con Corazón was the service. It felt like being in your friends' place—they were so kind and inviting from the moment we checked in. The receptionist, Andrea, helping us get our car squared away for nighttime parking, the manager Saskia getting us settled in and offering us a drink to relax as we unpacked, the kitchen staff attending to us as we took a very leisurely pace to have breakfast. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! And have already recommended it to family and friends.
