Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi

Really lovely hotel.. staff super friendly rooms very nice indeed.. new kids pool is under construction and I'm sure will be superb when complete.

It was a family trip, and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel in general. The room service was great, the room cleanliness was excellent, but the toilet could have been cleaner.

Great beach location and overall hotel excellent. Good spacious rooms too. The pools (2 of them) were great sizes and there was a children’s fun pool too. The surrounding town has some authentic Malayan restaurants but for those not use to holidaying or traveling in Asia they may seem a little basic but the food is pretty good overall. Hotel has a great breakfast choice and the evening meals were a good option for those clients chose to stay on resort

We had a great 5 night stay. Our room was had an island view with balcony where we could sit and watch the sunset. We used the large cascade pool (the other pool was more for families) which was great. Breakfast was very good with lots of options and two locations to choose from. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The resort is a short taxi/Grab ride to the airport and it was easy to walk into town either along the beach or the road.

Wonderful resort with great staff and very high overall standard of facilities. Like many tropical resorts, you can see staff are fighting a constant battle against the elements with humidity, sea air, and heat creating wear and tear. The standard of the room was high (Island view room) and general cleanliness good. Lobby, Pelangi Bar and adult pool stand out features along with sweeping sea views and direct access to the beach. Would come back with kids as they have good kid friendly pool, small animal/ farm petting zoo, and beach access.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The property is really nice with great facilities. Our toddler enjoyed the kids pool. Very friendly, caring and helpful staff that genuinely was interested in providing service. The first 2 days of our stay, we felt that service could be more efficient but after that we had no issues at all. We loved the dinner buffet and the overall vibe on the weekend. We definitely would recommend this property to our friends and family.

Good: Located in Cenang, location is walkable to the main street or cheap Grab ride away from everything. Refurbished cascade pool, great staff, large rooms which are clean and refurbished. Off peak season low prices as compared to other properties. We stayed during Chinese new year when the price was same as Westin. Great for kids, new kids club plus animal farm. Spa is new reasonably priced and exceptional service Bad : Food is crap sorry there are no other words to describe it. The main pool will be nice once refurbished (planned between July2024 to Dec 2024) in current state I was concerned either myself or my kid will step on a broken tile and cut ourselves. Again we tried all three food outlets the lobby, Pelangi and spice, offerings are expensive and worst I have tried in an 5star property. If you skip the food I will be repeat customer for food I will go to nextdoor Casa Del Mar(walking) for dinner or lunch and smiling buffalo for breakfast(7 ringgit grab ride). Dec to April is dry seasons we had brown water coming out of tap but were assured it was already treated, so stuck to bottled water and no one got sick so it was indeed treated. 2024 Jan-Feb was exceptionally dry in Langkawi. Property facilities are being renovated and if the main pool is refurbished we might revisit and hope the F&B offering improves. No upgrade or great perks with VIP access (gold) but may be it was peak season with Chinese new year. Gym: add rowing machine and more instruments

Thi is the third time I’ve stayed here in ten years and the refurbishment has made a great difference. I’m really hoping the main pool is also ungraded as it really needs it. The cascade pool was great but the other pool has shade which is great for kids. It just felt dirty and run down. I didn’t receive my gold rewards discounts on dining unfortunately

Had a garden triple suite. Massive space, really comfortable and private with views of pond, pool and children's farm, small terrace balcony with shade. Really high ceiling with air-conditioning and fan. Short walk to cascade pool. 30 to 40 mins max drive to places of interest on the island. Weather consistently idyllic. Would love to stay here again. Staff are incredible too. Buggy rides available as its quite a big resort.

Great for family with young children.
