Elea apartments

Loved my stay at Elea. A peaceful place to stay that is a short walk from the beach. Great for families with young children.

Elea Apartments is a warm place to stay, owned by a family. We got a warm welcome and they are very helpful and serviceminded. The apartmentments are great with good AC, beds, bathroom, kitchen etc. It feels like "home", with books and boardgames to borrow. The pool is quite small and can be a little bit crowded when the place is fullbooked, although nice poolarea with olivetrees around. Everything is just great so far but we have to complain about some things: - WiFi in the apartment is a disaster but good in the poolarea. - Toiletpaper is not included so you have to buy it on your own. - During July its really noisy with insects in the olivetrees. - The manager recommended a car rental service company, called Kreta Rental. Dont rent from this place. We got an old car and its expensive compared to other car rentals. - We stayed 3 nights and no cleaning. It would be nice to have some cleaning service.

This hotel is like a garden, full of trees, with a very nice swimming pool in the middle. The owners are adorable and prepare a fantastic moka. The location is perfect, close to a good supermarket (with fresh fish in the morning) and 4 small scenic beaches ideal for children and snorkelling. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and confortable, with 2 bathrooms, but the kitchen equipment was aging and shower was unpleasantly mouldy (other bathroom was fine).
