Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa

The best hotel according to to my 6 years old grandkid Best breakfast and great service relaxing and best location

I stayed at the Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa with my family for five days. The location is beautiful, and the shore snorkeling is decent. The rooms, though a bit dated, were spacious with comfortable beds. However, the water pressure in the bathrooms was low, and once the water was shut off while I was showering. There's no internet in the rooms, only in common areas. Restaurant service was very slow, and the food never arrived hot. The wait staff and kitchen coordination need improvement, and the food quality did not seem worth the prices. What was particularly upsetting was the preferential treatment given to white guests. As an Indian family, we often had to go and ask to be served, and some of the bar and wait staff seemed to deliberately make us wait. A table with a white family would be attended to promptly by multiple wait staff whilst we would be waiting to order. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in Fijian resorts, as I faced similar treatment at Warwick Fiji and Shangri-La Fiji. The resort also lacks an ice machine, so I had to ask for ice at the bar every time. Thankfully, Mr. David, the barman, was always kind and obliging. Overall, this place does not offer value for money. The beautiful location and decent snorkeling couldn't compensate for the lackluster and discriminatory service. I hope management addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.

Really loved this hotel. This was the third time i came to hideaway. And it just gets better every time. First time i brought my kids with and they loved it more then I did.

Murky water in the pool but it didn't stop kids to love it and the water slide. Nice palms and gardens but lodging buildings are quite old. Quiet at night. Very good snorkeling at high tide. Activities are rather limited. Breakfast is average. Room service was everyday and good. Overall it felt quite overpriced for a family of five.

The photos of the property are not up to date. The pool was green and too cold for little children, the food for lunch and dinner was pretty bad with the steak, lamb, and other expensive meals inedible. We expected a dated room which didnr worry us but the basics were lacking; No bath towels until after 6pm if you had them washdd including day of arrival. No pillow cases for 4 hours one afternoon after being cleaned. One day our room wasnt cleaned. It took 3 days of asking to get a hand and floor towel. We also saw a cat in the kitchen licking everything and after informing a staff member, he took about 5minutes to get to it. Overall these things added up to be disappointing. We also paid for a beach villa but had no privacy on our big doors, so everyone could see in at night....not private, felt not worth the money to be honest.

Staff were genuinely warm and friendly Genuine family oriented resort.

My family and i enjoyed our stay at hideaway. The staff was awesome. Great entertainment and fun atmosphere. Meals are amazing. Definitely will ge staying at hideaway again with my family. Great service .

My husband and I enjoyed our 5 day stay. The staff was helpful and we both enjoyed the dive away scuba dive trips. We would recommend staying here to our friends and family members.

Just a few little baby lizards in the room but so far was really good!

You get what you pay for, so keeping that in mind. The star rating is relevant however the staff are 6 star in my books. Without a doubt the staff are amazing and very interactive. Absolute paradise right on beach front. We had one of the best relaxing holidays ever staying at the Hideaway and we are bring more of the family back next time.
