Tracadero Beach Resort

This Hotel is so beautiful, i recommended to all my friends and family.

Brought the whole family to DR to relax. We booked this resort due to all of the pools and the the fact that they had sandy pools. We arrived without incident and check-in went ok but did take a bit of time. We were expecting more from our room and the AC only works in the bedrooms. The biggest issue that we had however was that the pools were filled with crabs. I was told by my boys that all of the pools had crabs in them. They took pictures to prove it. We were advised by management that they would remedy the issue but even the non salt pools had crabs in them. The boys went back into the pool the next morning and again had crabs in the pool. We decided to leave and i was told by management they could not refund me my money. I called hotels.com with no luck. I can honestly say that i have never been so upset about a stay in my life. We go all around the world and stay at many different hotels. If you have kids, i definitely advise against this hotel.

The living room had no A/C. TV was tiny. There were many cockroaches on the bathrooms and living room (disgusting...). There were many mosquitoes on the room and when I asked for fumigation, the lady on the front desk said I should go to the super market to get my own "Raid". All they care for is charging to the customer. They advertise Tennis Lesson for kids at US$25/hour, I asked for a Class for my son and they said the teacher was out, but if I wanted to use the court, I should pay US$26/hour (this is ridiculous). They advertise King Size Beds but the bed was Queen size, and since the only A/C in the apartment was so small, the apartment was too warm. The dishware was in bad condition and It was not complete. Only two cups of coffee for a 3 people apartment. They forbid to use some pools saying that they are for people staying at the apartments (where I was staying but did not allow me to use the pool. On the Marina, I wanted to rent a Gazebo (US$100/day!!!!!) they gave me one far from the sea, I asked for the one closest to the sea, they said, It was booked, and I spend the whole day there, spend over US$200 on a lunch for 4 adults+2 kids and no one used the gazebo. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Lots of politics staff are rude.... This place is not for a happy family....

We truly enjoyed our stay at Dominicus Marina Resort, very tasteful landscaping, impeccable rooms (we had the Penthouse), and the management accommodated us when we had to change our reservation even after the deadline due to some of our friends not making the trip out of concern for Zika (not knowing that there would not be a single mosquito to be seen at the resort). Great salt water pools more than compensate for the lack of an immediate beach. Very quiet place, no crowds (on the first day we had one of the large pools all for ourselves, see photo). Nice restaurant on premises, but we found the slightly less upscale restaurant next door (Alquimia) to be even better. Brand new tennis court, foosball table, pingpong. Everything superclean, especially the beautifully landscaped areas around the pools. Most guests were adults without kids, but still a kid-friendly place.

Very nice hotel/ apartment room. It had a full kitchen which was convenient travelling with small kids. We were able to cook what we wanted when we wanted. It is very nice built with the landscape design. It had several sea salt water infinity pools as the there is no beach. There was no need for the the beach as they put real beach sand.
