The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club

The staff was amazing!!! Alberto at Kite, Maria at the lobby bar, Angelo at check in, house keeping and the bell men!!! I really enjoyed my stay at the Westin!!! We were greeted everyday! I felt like family! I’m already planning a trip back! Thank you Westin for the AWESOME hospitality!!!

It is the perfect place for family vacation. Though I can't say you ever heard loud kids. There is just a lot for them to do and be happy about. As for parents and grandparents it's paradise. I've traveled much of the world. This was the nicest most accommodating staff I've ever encountered. I'll be back for sure

Westin is a great family resort with a beautiful beach. Service is outstanding!

The good: amazing beach with white sand and clear water. Ample and spacious so that we did not feel crowded. Great swimming pools. The bad: dining options were very limited: three restaurants all extremely overpriced and with very little options when traveling with small children. Taxis outside of the property also very overpriced, to the point where looking for eat-outs was made expensive. Bill for 4 full days including 3 breakfasts for 2 people, sandwiches for lunch and small dinner every night. One drink per day US$ 1250.00. The ugly: Staff was ZERO friendly. I booked 5 nights and was downgraded from a premium suite to a much smaller room the first night, and offered US$30 per night if I kept the smaller room. I did not accept and was offered US$ 150.00 compensation when transferred to my suite on day 2. The compensation was not included in my final bill and I had to complain again on checkout. Hotel fees on my bill were overstated and I had to ask for a correction too. Food was uncooked at the beachside restaurant and the head waiter was completely rude when we made him aware. Had to ask many times for a toddler seat each morning at breakfast before someone would bother, etc. Overall not an experience I would repeat. I have been many times to the Dom. Rep. and there are many amazing beaches with great service and where you dont feel ripped off with US$ 9 beer cans or US$ 18 mojitos; and above all where staff greet you with a sincere smile.

I booked this as an all inclusive and got there and found out it wasn’t. They informed us it was changed and Expedia really failed me. I thought I miss read but I met two other families that had the same issue. Was very disappointed to find out we had to spend for all meals. The staff were very nice. There was only one restaurant and a little pricey. We didn’t see the 5 restaurants listed

Everything was amazing I recently stayed at The Westin and could not have been more impressed. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with modern amenities, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the view was simply breathtaking. The hotel also has a great restaurant with delicious food, and the pool area is the perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend The Westin to anyone looking for an amazing hotel experience. This property is always great and relaxing Is my 4 th time going with my family Is a relax hotel not a party hotel The silence at the beach makes you take the best naps The service of Luis is outstanding Also Hector at the lobby bar is very pleasant and Hector at the cigar lounge Fernando is at the entrance He is been there forever He will help you always with a smile bringing your suitcases to the room The food and drinks are yummy Ana the housekeeper is amazing Highly recommended

Is our second time staying here The service is amazing , the location is excellent and convenient Very peaceful beach and gorgeous views, just step away from Playa Blanca My husband love their cigar bar ,, the food and service was great Specially Hector the guy from the front bar and the cigar lounge was the best This is a exclusive hotel to relax not to party Very family and business oriented.

This is a beautiful property! We had a great ocean view & staff was very friendly & professional. This was excellent. We ended up checking out early. We have an 8 yr old and were in need of kid activities. This is an excellent place for adults who would like to get away for peace and quiet time.

if you are looking for a quiet place to stay with families and expensive food and not much else this is the right place for you. the rooms are really nice but the food is expensive. but i guess this is to be expected in a resort. if you like piping hot food ..well you probably won't get it here .. there is a five star restaurant nearby but i am really not sure how to get there. one of the worst parts of this place is that there is no communication.. do not expect anyone to offer anything,, they give you a brochure and expect you to figure it out .. for example i asked a representative about snorkeling and he basically told me the only way was to take a half day catamaran ride that offered snorkeling.. after i booked this (he told me i had to do it quick cuz it fills up fast) i found out there was another package that offered snorkeling, snuba, and speed boat driving oh and if anything happens and you want to cancel ..it has a 24 hour notice to do this. there is no real entertainment here as well. if you book thru grayline try to get Michele .. he is the most honest guy there and will go to great lengths to help out.. a friend had an accident zip lining and he made sure that her friend had a free cab ride to and from the hospital and the only one from grayline who seemed to care. i also give kudos to Zelina for her great help when dealing with the accident the wait staff is very slow bit there are some that are at least personable
